When I install Windows on a computer, here's the process: Install Windows Hit Windows Update Install Component Manager Download and install most of the ODNT software Install my skins THEN install everything else.

OK, I installed Hidden Gems, Iben, and it's working great. I just have a couple of minor points: 1. The color of the text is hard to read on many of the backgrounds...it looks like Colour 0 is just too dark. 2. If you can nudge the text located in the group box header over to the right by 3 or 4 pixels, it would stand out a touch more...right now it's butted up against the edge of the box. 3. The text in the pulldown menus is hard as heck to read. Other than

iben, you're a lifesaver! I started nisong around the groupbox frame and header, and I figured it out. I had the text centering, but not the background itself! I'm going to download your skin right now and test it out. Thanks for everyone's help!

I don;t have a lot of choice on the resolution front. Desktop LCD is 1024 x 768 and laptop is 1400 x 1050...anything other than native looks like hell. I echo the suggestions for tutorials. In fact, I suggest two distinct segments on each show: Beginner and Advanced. That way everyone will be drawn to watch...I consider myself like, just below Intermediate, but I oick things up fast when they;re shown to me...so I would be drawn to watch for advanced skin-building tips. That would include 3-D rendering stuff for icon makers, Photoshop tips, and obviously the Stardock apps and how to get them to do tricks no one has even thoughts of.

Not bad. Good competitor to Netcaptor. One MAJOR complaint is I don't see a way to make new tabs open in the background. Am I missing that setting due to blindness? I imagine in the next three versions or so it will overtake most of the other tabbed IE front ends. Good stuff!

Well, coming in at the tail end of a long thread, I have a few suggestions: 1. Reduce the quality and size of screenshots. Yes, it's great to see full resolution detail, but those things add up...I reduced a set of graphics on a BBS I run from 900K total down to 175K, and it saved me almost 5 Gigs a month in bandwidth. ObjectDock keeps getting better... I would like to add a feature request, though. Right-clicking on an icon in the pseudo-taskbar brings up the config for that icon...I would find it a LOT more useful to have the standard right-click menu for that app show up, with maybe a "Config" option on the menu. WOW. No, seriously...WOW. I just spent the last 2 hours making png images to use as icons and playing with ObjectDock. Very cool, and very fast and stable, even on my less-than-stellar 16MB graphics card in my laptop. And of course I just saw the link to all those great png files. Now I feel like a tool.
