Best way to troublehoot is to try replacing parts and cables one by one unfortunately. Id open it up and make sure everything is connected securly, all fans spinning etc Next you will need to replace ram with dfferent ram - see if that makes it better Try a different hard drive Try a new PSU Try a different video card This is obviously easier if you have spare parts and i know its not ideal for you but its the way a shop or te4chnician would do it.

Haha nice one!!! Thas one asshole landlord you had there. My new one keeps making excuses to pop up... like collecting mail etc - im sure he wants a sneak peak when we arent there to make sure we are keeping the flat nice...

yeah that seems to be the advice everyone gives - withold your last rent payment and lose your deposit - sad that landlords have made it come to that. We left the flat in really good condition but he wanted it all to redecorate the whole flat!

My ex-landlord has finally backed down and given me most of my rent deposit back!!! Needed a lot of pressure from my solicitor and very nearly a court summons but finally he has backed down!!! My solicitor is my mums boss so i get that bit free (he didnt know this though) Just felt like sharing this with you all!!! Merry xmas

I would suggest even taking a very short course in photoshop or similar program. Having some experience in an arts program does wonders when trying to bring your visions to life. Basically for windowblind themes i think most people use sinstudio and photoshop (i may be wrong here though)

Same thing happened to my skin mrsguy - mine is currently pending - best solution i found as well was a total rebuild from new skin - its the only way to be sure.

This is an old thread but some may come up against this problem - i know i did for a few annoying hours This solution may not help everyone but ill give it anyway I solved it by making a new substyle in the blind based on my xp substyle that already existed (which didnt have the annoying line shadow) I then simply reinported the vista graphics onto the new substyle and copied and pasted the code over and its all perfect again Delete the old main style an

Why not use Vmware and just install a vista trial version? I use it as i run vista main and xp in vmware - its really good
