I think the new version of ObjectDock Plus is causing some of my other programs to crash. A particular problem is with Firefox. I've got a new computer running Media Center with 3 gigs of memory and 2 500GB hard drives so THAT's not the problem. Any ideas? Or should I just archive the program and go back to 1.5?
I just got a new computer and I didn't have my archived Stardock products backed up. I don't want to install WB 5.5 yet so I'm looking for an earlier version.

I sometimes like to look at screenshots to get ideas about what other people are doing with OD. It REALLY makes me mad when I see something I like but the uploader hasn't included any information on what window blind, wallpaper etc. that was used. This should be MANDATORY! Oh, and LINKS would be nice too. {admin edit - Text was overlapping, removed formatting}
Contests are great. Mini-Contests are good but need more lead time so we get more entries.
I want the earlier version because I'm not planning to upgrade to Vista and also because I prefer to be able to choose user pic and font size myself.
How can I get the last version of Window Blinds prior to 5.5? (This is a serious question. I have a subscription to Object desktop and I recently purchased a new computer so I don't have the prior versions archived)
I really REALLY wanted to buy a MAC (more so now that I've read all the problems with Vista) but I bought a new desktop AND a new notebook for virtually the same price and I didn't need to buy any new software or transfer my data on external hard drives to mac format.
Can somebody PLEASE try to explain step-by-step how to create sub-folders (for example Object Desktop folder with link for each individual program)
I know there are options in WindowBlinds to use the default font or to make it larger but how can I get it to leave my fonts alone. Every time I install a skin I have to go to appearances and reset my fonts and font sizes to get the look I want. Is there a setting in Skin Studio that will change all of the default fonts and the font sizes?
I don't think it's fair. Most usable and most original should be judged seperately. After all, we voted for them seperately and there's a HUGE difference between what'susable and what's original. Just my personal opinion, but I took a lot of time deciding on my votes and maybe my votes would've been different if I had known that I was voting for most usable AND most original.
Is there or will there be a central site where we can see the items submitted for the contest?
Question: is this a stand-alone product or do I need to purchase DesktopX and/or Object Desktop to use it?
Since there are so many differences between the free Object Dock and Object Dock Plus it is impossible to know if I want to purchase the Plus version without trying it out. That's the whole point of shareware as far as I'm concerned. Come on guys...give us a trial version of ODPlus and let us decide if we want to buy it or not!
I want MY user pic to show up. The default is "allow skins to replace user icons". I've gone into User Overrides to try to change the default but nothing happens when I try to uncheck the box. Any help appreciated. Using WindowsXP qand latest version of WindowBlinds.
I tried that and it didn't help. I was trying to load a skin called Beige and it hid ALL my start-up icons. I'm using WindowsXP with the latest version Of WindowBlinds.
New to Skinning Some of the skins I try to load hide the start-up icons. How can I change the skin so they show? I do not use quick launch bar, which wouldn't help anyway.
