Ok here is my take on this. Evil Races Terrorstar module upgrade for militay Starbases. Once it is a Terrorstar (aka Deathstar) then you will have to research new Terror Star tech to make it more powerful. For example the first module for a Terrorstar would be the Planet destroyer (not Star destroyer) then later tech will give it the ability to blow up stars which will destroy all planets in system. Another higher SD tech would be the ability to create an expanding Black hole in sp

I have a question. I noticed that when I finish upgrading a ship design and I already have ships of that older design on the map, A ship upgrade screen comes up after I hit save un the Shipyard. However it does not have an entry for my upgraded design on the list. Is that a bug, or am I missing something? As it stands I have to go and select the ship that needs upgrading then update it.
[quote] Now, freighters, on the other hand, seem mostly destined for use as "please don't hurt us, we give you presents" diplomacy only unless you invest all your effort in trading, this is pretty much true. even when you do, it's not an optimal strat. Actully this is not true, at least I have not found it to be true. Freaters make you a lot of money and no I don't put all my effort into them. <DIV class=Ar

Building Military (or any ship for that matter) is easy and for me the funnest part of the game. I have had a lot of fun builfing Feration (Star Trek) ships with my current game. And plan an playing my Borg and Klingon race in the future and building thier ships as close to the show as possable. I spend most of my gaming time in the game customizing/upgrading ships. sometimes I have to tell myself to close the dame ship yard and get on with the game <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL
I usally wait till I get 5 spys then place them all on 1 planet. And keep replacing them as they get nulified. AI usally only nullifies 1 every few turns. And with all these spies on one planet I find I get to High Espionge really fast. However the only time I have ever gotten a tech by stealing was when I would take over a planet.
Wait a minute are you guys talking about real time or game time?
The game I'm currently on has lasted over 50 years now. I have been playing it for 3 weeks (real time) I am the United Federation of Planets and I have already defeated the Klingons, Scro (based on the D&D Spelljamer race) and Romulans. I'm allied with the Borg (go figure , the Korth (sp?) and Ichtorins (sp?.) Now all that stand in my way is the High Elven Command (also based on D&D Spelljammer) and the K
Finaly a new TURN BASED (I hate RTS games) fantasy game. I am a big fan of the Age of Wonders. Is this new fantasy game similar to Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic?
LightVader said "I must admit that some of the changes are logical. Rolling the dice to decide on the accuracy of a gunner to hit his target makes a certain amount of sense, so a "0" point hit could exist. But I cannot see the logic of rolling the dice to determine the effective strenght of the shields. Defensive systems should not be subject to chance. The player has paid dearly to equip his ships with defensive capabilities, only to have them negated by a role of the dice! Maybe we should all
