Do you guys find the AI building the MCC in TA often / ever? In DA you'd have to be playing suicidal and something other than evil for the AI to get around to building it. I've debated with myself wheather I'd actually take the update if they ever got around to fixing the MCC for DA. I agree that it is quite powerful either way, but i think it could be more fun to play with it as it was originally decribed. Definitiely gives an alternative to the build ships- destoy enemy

I think what hes getting at is a place in the formums where people can all post fixes they have come up with, with the twist that SD would some how determine which are fixes and which would be cheats or actual mods. But I see the legitimacy Neilo and Loups posts; why have SD say anything? Why not just simply post something you think would fix something? I don't see what a SD endorcement would do or that they'd have the time for it at all. Its like asking them to rate your mod. [e
We realize that, who would thunk someone who discover something on their first game. I would have just assumed it was nomal, if not weird.
and orbital bombardment with tactical combat launched from carriers? woo hoo
WOO HOO time to resurect my ideas from "What do you want to see in TA" lol A new treaty to trade, a Protection treaty. What it would mean is that what ever race to got it from would have to go to war with any race that attacks you (like the Alterian super ability in a way). What the intent would be is to prevent civs from attacking you in the first place, not necessarily for you to have more power, hence the "who ever attacks YOU". But if you did get attacked you would have anot
I vote we take 800 BC and give it to the minors.
do it manually? just kidding But what you could do is take whatever ship you want to explore and first pick a destination for it thats way out there, then have it auto-explore once its there. Personally I have never used the feature and istead just point my ships to planetary clusters and see what my flag ship digs up. Basically explore with colonizers and take planets when you find them.
Likei said, it seems that the AI surrenders too quickly in TA.
I think he just liked that number... 117 and remeber when pentimum was the end all. lol I remeber fighting over the 386's in the school computer lab. did i say 117 ?
Was I supposed to vote? umm well mine goes to D-Seth the Mailboy.
That and ANYTHING that the 'bad guy' is an insect.
So I take it you don't like fighting against the Thalans? Do you remember "Them" ?
That goes to the point of refusing to see Bee Movie even...beyond it's retardedness. Hebegeebies I hate bugs.
Well that was pretty scarry.. with Jerry Seinfeld doing the voice of the bee [e digicons]8C[/e] . All time bests were The Blob and Invasion of the Body Snathchers. I wasn't aware that the AI was privy to that information.
I was very glad to see the thread gone this morning. And I would also like to commend Snark for being head-up enough to not restate it.
The newer horror movies for the most part rely on special effects and graphics that were not possible a generation ago, however the stories are lacking and susspence seems to be a lost art. A grotesquely deformed human in a movie will make your skin crawl but it doesn't make a good movie. In a few years no one will remember newer horror flicls but 30 years later we might still remember the Omen or the Exorcist, not to mention the Shinning.
Still they are great scores Seth. You've come a long way... and passed me by. [e digicons][/e]
Not sure what was supposed to be shown, but in what way do you see the AI as cheating?
Wow, you couldn't just let this thread rest in peace? [e digicons]x_x[/e] GAl Civ 2 will not ever have multiplayer. OMG my last reply to this was in August of 2007,,, and here it is in the recent threads list. lol Lets see... should this be redirected to Mumblefratz's Dead Horse thread or his Thread Necromancing thread? While I'm here can we talk about orbital bombardment and carriers?
and I always play with surrenders on. I think it gives a bit of the unknown to the game but it really helps with the grinding down of an empire. You may get them to surrender without having to send as many transports. The rate at which you may get surrenders differs, some races never surrender and will lose their last planet. But it seems from the other posts that in TA the AI gives up a lot more easily. For the most part, in DA its not so easy. It seems to be ramdom as to when and to
Certain techs are valued very highly by the AI. Mostly weapons, which was changed a long time ago to prevent human players from just buying good weapon techs. You'll notice sometimes the AI will not just say NO but will instaed say something like "it toook a lot of work to get this tech". Then you know you're going to pay a lotr for it. For some reason asteroid mining techs are way too expensive to trade for. The AI definitely considers them more important than they are; they just don
The real question will be though, how easy will it be for me to remember this one? lol.
LOL or how hard to forget.
Nor I. Was it possible with JUST galactic achievements? What about the one-per-race structures (as opposed to the one-per galaxy ones); or trade goods? However I would think that you could not get the benefit fron the Resturant at the End of the Universe,,, I mean the Restaurant of Eterntity more than once. I know other structures do allow stacking of bonuses but thety aren't Galactic Achievments. I wonder what about 100 MCC's (unfixed) would do to your score. [e d
I can't say that I wouldn't buy GC3 if it didn't have MV. But I will say that it definitely has given this game its replayability. I doubt I would be playing as much as I do if i couldn't submit games. Although I only have 18 games I do play whenever I can, (which is a lot less since my wife discovered Facebook).
it will never die... long live this thread. I just laugh when i see it back near the top.
