I think the wealth-happiness should be global so if your civiliazation is making money then the people on planets shouldent care if thier plane is losing money if i make a world devoted to research its going to cost me money but the population is doing what they love , what they went to school for, and what they moved to this planet for. On top of that they are getting paid and they are getting some lucritive research grants from the government so why are the upset?

Personally i would get rid of the rings and simply allow you to put any kind of module on with a size limit similar to ships if i want a ti put 20 sensor modules and no weapons let me some modules will obviosly need limits to avoud becoming OP however i think in general it should be more open then what we have now
"Having said that, I'd like to add one more thing. I'm having fun!" hr mm that must be a glitch this is a beta and is not intended for fun. A simple work around would be to get a taser or pepper spray or something similar every time your having fun just give yourself a dose and youll be back on track
I thought all ships were built off planet does the HLS even work anymore?
Unfortunately i have to disagree the option to attack from any angle is a staple of the game. And while i wouldemt mind one or two choke points. In a game( a cross galaxy wormhole) anything more common would IMO change the game
"Check your messages? I've had enough good news. Might be important. You're a winner! You've won the Gemini Contest and a trip to Fhloston Paradise for two." ..... We'll it seems we left the airlock open on the flight to fhloston paradise oops our bad don't worry well
The same crash was in alpha I believe IMO it's caused by too many potential sponsors and I agree we need an ignore button of some sort to allow us to skip notifications
I havent uad a chance to play the beta yet just the alpha just for a heads up 1) atm minable resources ( antimatter , elerium , etc) allow you to build special weapons modules for your ships granting you bonus range at the cost of damage however much of the combat has not been implemented yet so its not really noticable. The devs hae said it will have other uses later on as well. further they dont need to be built on the resource only in range which i believ is 5 hexes
So here is a question lets say you gaunathor have 10 durantium and build 10 ships with it and I have 0 durantium can you sell me your ships? ( according to intent you shouldn't be able to I'm just curious if this was overlooked by the devs) And if so will you be able to build more?
According to one of the more recent dev streams terraforming is different in 3 then it was in 2 now many of the techs give you a one off tile improvement requiring a certain % of usable land in the tile with one of the latter techs allowing you to improve all tiles with a certain % of usable land as for the production it is beta and testing balance is one of the major aspects of this stage
I thoght i heard something about a tutorial and usually the first couple of levels of most games consist of a tutorial in the guise of "training" or "showing off" or some such
i agree i had the same problem with constructors
I could be mistaken but i dont think they have done a lot of optimization yet for the game considering its a turn based its more of a polish point ao proboly not very high on the priority list
Well im at a disadvantage here since im limited to my phone for the time being so im going to guess based on your comments return of the jedi ( although im not familiar with any of the starwars games the big one nive heard alot about would be knights of the old republic) legend of zelda rock paper scissors
I doubt it in these forums
https://www.galciv3.com/nameastar this should work i wouldn't wait to long not sure how long it will be open for and i forgot to mention both founders and elite have access to the beta i believe
So, is it a good thing or a bad thing that I bought my Founder's Elite Edition last night?
that depends on what you want the founders elite comes with all dlc and expansions that will ever be made as well as the name a star and founders vault access youve pretty much missed the alpha wheras the founders edition i believe just gets you 5$ off the base game
" We've got Hyperdrive, the great contribution to the galaxy made by the Humans. But Hyperdrive is pretty basic stuff. To go faster, we need to come up with other ways to go faster. There's basically two ways to increase how fast we travel. The first way is to bend space more. That's basically all Hyperdrive does. Ships still cannot move very fast in normal space; so Hyperdrive used immense amounts of energy in order t
Quoting DARCA1213, reply 44 Starbases shouldn't move starports do. Because...? That is somewhat backwards from reality where some types of military bases are constructed and then perhaps abandoned or moved closer to the fron
Ive also seen this but thought it was a display bug i believe if you ignore it and just start the next turn the info changes to the actual amount of turns required
These ideas sound like an interesting system the only issue i have is that leaving 50% of your remaining troops behind after each victory means that your effective force is reduced very rapidly what about multiple troop transports? Would sending 2+ mean i can select multiple invasion points?
Snarky Civ IV quotes regarding the effectiveness of Plasma riffles over Sonic blasters..read by Morgan, Michio Kaku or Neil deGrasse Tyson ...... "While Sonic Blasters sound nice, Plasma is the hotter topic today".....
neil degrasse tyson theres another good one
( joeball123) " I would much rather have -X detection range stealth than 'detected within X range' stealth, because -X detection range stealth has an obvious counter (add more sensors)" if i have a cloaking system that defeats x-type sensors mearly adding more x-type sensors should have little to no effect so the detected within x range makes more sense to me ( joeball123) " Beyond that, if you develop a system that makes it possible
2) if the battle is only processed after moves are done how do you use any remaining moves? As in fight, move, fight again, move, invasion 4) the devs have said that you will only be able to effect the battle in a general way "roles" you will NOT be able to say ship A attack ship X
