I'm having a similar issue as ddrainey. I'm running the latest beta of Windows Fx and it seemes to be clashing with the Desktop Windows Manager. When I unload Windows FX, the system works fine. I've had the following Desktop Windows Manager error codes log today... 9003, 9002, 9007 This all started when I rebooted the system. I lost aero which caused Windows Blinds to load the classic Windows theme and DeskScapes not to run. I wa

Happy Anniversary. The title of your post reminded me of a joke.... A couple was preparing to head out to their fiftieth wedding anniversary celebration. "You get your purse and coat, I'll pull the car out front and lock up the garage," says hubby, considerately. When his bride comes out onto the front porch, she sees him leaning against the front fender of the car staring wistfully at the front of the house. She walks over to him. "What are you loo

To be safe, jack the car up, remove the front wheels and tighten the lug nuts down onto the rotors to hold them on tightly. Put a cinder block under each of the lower control arms and use jack stands behind both front wheels to support the car. Lastly, chock the rear wheels and set the parking brake. You can run the car without the wheels on it, just keep the rpms down to a minimum and use 1st gear. The blocks will support the front end and hold the axles straight and&

John, keep in mind that you will be taking the load off the wheel bearings with the car on jacks and the weight off of them, so bearing noise would be less noticeable. Also, be sure to support the lower control arms to keep the axles as straight as you can when running the car on jacks. If you run it with the wheels hanging too far you could damage your CV joints.
