Hybrid dreams are still being made and I've actually made a few. You can find some documentation in the deskscapes install folder on your PC. The best way to learn is to open the hybrid file of one of the ones that came with Deskscapes with notepad and study what they have done. You can change the settings and see what effects they make as well. The reason I've backed away from making them is every NWA file that I've made that has constant motion hesitates at the l
PR Rep: Got a 4.5 out of 5 on Game X! Me: Oh no! That’ll wreck the Metacritic score – we want it to end up at 79. High enough for sales but low enough so we don’t have to give bonuses! PR Rep: Stop! What is wrong with you? Me: Same thing as when I had that case of Tourette's Syndrome
Maybe it's just me but that's pretty damn funny. I'd say that sometimes it just goes over thier heads.

That's odd, the custom background works fine for me in DeskScapes 8 on W7 Home Premium x 64. The preview picture of the background doesn't load but the background does after you choose it and then click ok. It does take a few seconds to load though. I prefer the Desktop Collage dream for pictures, and it works fine as well. An added bo

'tis a sickening reminder of what too often is reality
It looks like you must have missed Rowdy Roddy Piper in "They Live" back in the 80s. As long as it was Milk chocolate, one candy bar isn't going to kill her. Dark chocolate is the deadly one, make sure to keep it out of reach of any animal.

Ford= F**ked over reconditioned Dodge I hate to say it but out of all the American Automotive Manufacturers right now, FORD is my favorite. They are the only ones that said no to the goverment bailout, stood on their own and are doing quite well right now.

If you own the copyright of the image, it can be as long as you want. If you are using a stock image, it can be as long as you want but you have to include proof that you have permission to use the image. If you do not own the copyright of the image and can not get permission to use it, you can not post a dream created by it. Proof would be a screen shot of an email or forum post giving permission. You would need to cr

I confirmed that the frame size was the issue. Here's a test dream I made for the Snowy Day dream that is 1920x1080. llennellV3, give it a shot and let me know if it works for you. It works fine for me with Windows 8 and the Media Center codecs.

Neil, I believe the problem with mine involves the frame height or aspect ratio of the mpeg. At the time those were created, The MasterBaron and I were encoding these for 16x10 aspect ratio monitors. To do that with TMPGEnc4.0 Express, we had to encode at an odd resolution, 1792x1120. While the prior versions of Windows played these fine, Windows 8 seems to have an issue with them. For the record, these are working fine on Windows 7 with DeskScapes 8. Since I'm g

Wouldn't it have been easier to include a MPG2 codec with DesScapes 8? Requiring the use of AVI or WMV makes the CPU usage double in most cases. Without MPG2, I doubt I will be creating or uploading any dreams in the future. It's for sure I'm not going to re-encode my entire Gallery. Also, in the past you had to install your own MPG2 codec to run dreams. Why change this requirement now?
