Currently the beta is slated for late Fall 2009
Elemental and Diplomacy D: I'll be busy
Yarlen, I'll be waiting for the balance changes for the preorder. So would be great to start postignt he chnages that will be made before the pre order period ends.
There's going to be a beta for a reason. What changes they have now won't be the same at release

Ironclad, I think, thought the expansions were taking longer than they had thought and decided to scrap the third expansion. They are working on their next game though EDIT: From the impulse store page (to help clarify my previous post)
Broadband Connection for Internet Multiplayer Sins of a Solar Empire and Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment (Full Version) Impulse client software for d
there aren't any now...
Right. Which means the pirate buff won't come from the pirates getting their own capital ships
next question can I have diplomacy w/ starbases? please say yes.... now the fun question what if a new player doesnt buy entrenchment where do they fit in on ironclad?
Diplomacy requires both entrenchment and sins (it's on the impulse page)
Preordered woo! Wonder if I was the first one, or just the first one to post on Yarlen's thread :3
No caps for pirates, as that doesn't fit in with the universe. They'll be getting an overhaul, though....just you wait and see. *evil grin*
Sweet. Now pirates won't just be "free xp" I'd like to see a VO too (instead of text, it'd be funny but probably isn't happening. The only thing funnier than reading "Avast ye space rats!" would be hearing it)
Yay! Preordering today :D Yay better pirates! Wonder if pirates have caps now EDIT: Preordered :D
But why make a thread called "So beta is today"? I smell a [e digicons]:troll:[/e]
I think ima wait for a review to check if it's good on PC or really bugged ;P
Where was the proof it was today in the first place T.T
It was fun just watching the changes unfold from that first candidate to the final product, such a huge change and you really learned to appreciate the improvements/changes that occured.
It's funny to look back at beta 1 stuff [img]http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o145/thra
If you believe, anything is possible [e digicons]:dur:[/e] Anyways, the most fun part of beta one is either going to be to help find bugs or to make cool suggestions that are really taken into consideration (or helping to make easter eggs, like Pink Space Ponies in SoaSE)
Have any of you used it or do you just moan about it and distort the FACTS....

I legally bought Mass Effect, installed in on my PC and laptop. I had an install error on my laptop, but it was solved. My PC crashed, and I was on hold for two hours with EA customer support because I had only owned the game for two weeks and had already activated it three times. The pirated version I downloaded after EA gave me grief for giving me one more activation w
A broken computer and install limits aren't inconveniences, it's the PROOF that i was honest enough to invest in someone else's business rather than stealing from them.
Fixed, atleast in the case of securom. I really don't care about DRM so long as it doesn't phone home, break computers, or involve install limits. Having the CD in the drive, putting in serial numbers on install, and even having to run a digital platform to play the game i
EA games on steam don't have securom... cept for Crysis. God I hate EA
Since EA is brining Securom they should just leave [e digicons]>:([/e]
I think you can design "tiles" for the maps, and when you make a random map your tiles can be used
I think Stardock is doing this. See here reply 2. So you will have a week extra, if you need to use paypal and the like.
Yeah but my post was 5 minutes before kryo's
I'm still thinking there's going to be a limited editon with this game. I've only ordered the digital download, but luckily people can upgrade orders at any time (I think)
Eh seems sorta unfair :| I'd rather have this option have to be sorta a last ditch kinda thing, so if your economy can support having all that land then you can keep it (not since you have X amount of land your economy WILL fail, thus forcing vasals).
Stardock typically keeps betas open for a week after they start, but I don't know if they're doing that with Elemental
I hope to buy all my games from impulse in the future :P Download speeds are faster than steam and impulse takes up less ram. And things are typically cheaper too (stardock magizine helps me know when there's a sale on too ;P )! What's not to like? I hope Ready to Play is a huge success. I hope I get into the beta (I have no idea how people will be picked, or if it will be anyone who signs up gets in)
Sweet, want to download now:( When's it gonna be out?
Youtube only allows me 10 minutes... these are all right around 20 minutes
Indeed, I didn't realize that. I'm gonna have to watch these when I get home. Stupid school :P [e digicons]k1[/e]
Why didn't you just post these on youtube? It's not an issue or anything, just curious. Downloading overnight (granted, they're going to be done in 15 minutes but I'm tired :P )
Sins has online saves, don't see why they wouldn't give it to Elemental ;P
