I don't think that being a subscriber should mean you should sell your skins. I subscribe and I don't put enough time into skinning these days to warrant being paid for it. I think that's one of the differences between those who can create 'premium' content and hobbiests. Premium skins are generally much more detailed and have had a lot more time go into them. They deserve to be premium skins!

Always interesting to see what people actually look like Thanks for sharing.
No problems Actually, you can find others as well such as: https://www.stardock.com/products/skinstudio/docs.asp https://www.stardock.com/products/skinstudio/tutorial/ I haven't tried them, but they're out there
I use Photoshop to create the images that I use in my progress animations and GIF Movie Gear to turn them into the required AVIs. http://www.gamani.com/ - GIF Movie Gear
The tutorial Koasati is talking about is here: http://www.aleksyandr.com/
The new version has some pretty cool features. I'll give it another try. What's one more browser?
Maybe introduce people ti WinStep's NextStep? I like that one
Interesting stats. Thanks for showing them.
Happy Birthday to you both. I'm always happy to see Snowman alive. Then I can constantly remind him he's older than me
I started skinning in late '99 with Sonique and MPFree. Then I discovered skinz.org and saw that there was plenty more to be skinned
I started skinning with media players (Sonique and MPFree). I only change wallpapers when my WindowBlinds or WinStep themes change. And I always have QCD, Rainlender and WikMail running as well. There have been plenty of other skinnables along the way. Fun
I'd class it as 'light' on resources
All's well that ends well
Are you talking about the green one (in which case the question has been answered) or the one under the arrow head? The one under the arrow head is Colony which you can find at http://mikeb314.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?SID=46&skinid=2983&libid=1
Photoshop tweak sounds good. I better open up my SD!
Developer thomassen - you are right that it has to do with the skins. When you create the skin with toolbar icons or animations you need to edit the author details etc in SkinStudio. It is quite easy to overlook.
King Of Fools: Carrie Spooner Hefferman from "King Of Queens." Why? Only on TV would a hottie like her marry a shlub like Doug. I'm pretty sure he is married in real life to a 'hottie'.
The WinCustomize.com browser bypasses the website and goes directly into the databases. If that means faster, then I'll use it Screenshots look cool though (apart from the unskinned looking XP <img src="http://i
And the updates are good I just need to skin the 'fortune cookie' fish
Go QCD! I might try DesktopX soon too. I'll give this a go...
Or you should be able to click Alt-D to have your cursor go to the address bar with text highlighted ready to be typed over
Interesting article. It's the 'It will not run Windows programs' part that makes it hard to become a serious competitor to Windows in my opinion. I'd love to see a lot of major software applications working on other operating systems without the help of emulators. Until that happens, I'm stuck in Windows.
http://www.pixel2life.com/ - This place has tutorials for both. Mostly Photoshop though. Plenty of sites like this one. I use Photoshop BTW
Skinz.org died and I joined here not long after it opened. It's been interesting to watch the development (and lack of) at all the skin sites that were going when skinz.org died.
I haven't used this, but it's free http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/
