Currently, I have only built one other model. I had built the Coalition's Saber starfighter off of an older starfighter sim called "Starlancer". Unfortunatly, it did not survive the move to my current apartment very well. Currently, I can't find any pictures of it. However, I have decided to build the carrier, at least at first (the dreadnought may come later). My main reason behind this is that the carrier is considerably simpler than the dreadnought (not as many diferent angles an

Can someone get me some front, side, bottem, top, rearview pictures of the Marza Dreadnought and the Carrier? I would like to build a model of one of the two out of the many sheets of balsa wood and LED lights that I have laying around. This may be put on hold for a while, however, since the ship designs keep changing, but I could go ahead with drawing up the plans. Thanks!

for instance OA would mean attacking any and all ships (civilian to) Do the phrases "crimes against humanity" and "war crimes" ring a bell? However, the other diplomatic options sound good. Empire Earth 2, while not as great as it could, nay, should have been, had different options such as what your ally could see within your territory (buildings, units, etc.) and what units could pass through your territory (i.e. no warships). The diplomatic

While I would rather play Sins, since I much rather command fleets and empires instead of ground forces and a battlefield, I admit that it's about time that Starcraft 2 comes out. If it does come out on 11-27-2007, then it will give me something to do until Sins comes out. It is a great time to be a space based RTS, RTX4, or whatever, gamer!!

Also, while I'm thinking about it. Does anyone think that the Dreadnough looks a little boxy? It looks great, but perhaps the edges could be rounded off a bit. I know the TEC are supposed to be using the most basic designs and technology, though. Any thoughts?

I love the new carrier, although I did like the old design as well. Is the KOL still the same? Even if it does, I can only imagine what it looks like with the improved lighting (post pics please) . Can someone get me a topside view of the dreadnought? I just want an idea on the length to width ratio. Thanks! As far as bright backgrounds go, it is my understanding that most of space is dar

Just wondering, if I preorder the game now, can I change the shipping address later. I'm about to move halfway across the country and this is the only thing stopping me from preordering the game.

I dont think the ships look "outdated" in any regard. I think people tend to use that term incorrectly with regards to models. As far as I'm concerned, they[the ships] have distinctive asymmetric characteristics for the most part and have a multi color palette and are peppered with lighting effects. All of which are indicative of advanced model design. I think the intended use is regarding models that are boxy in design and where one can clearly see the textu

Bigger doesn't always mean better....... I agree. When the Spanish launched their armada way back in the day against Enland, England's smaller, faster ships managed to beat the larger Spanish fleet back. Storms finished off what Spanish ships were left. On a more personal note, I'd rather have two medium sized ships instead

I thought perhaps I should ask a little nicer. Please do not change the carrier design, or I shall rain cleansing fire down upon your worlds! All shall suffer my wrath! My fleets shall... wait, didn't I say something about asking nicely? Sorry, I just can't help myself. "I sigh and push the button, and yet another world ends."

The KOL Battleship is one of oldest models in the beta. You can expect multiple revisions of this ship before release. The final size is unlikely to rival that of the Sova or the Akkan, however it's appearance will be 'battle hungry'. Just don't, for the love of all that is great and good in this world, change the design of the carrier! I think it looks great as

While on the topic of ships, what if you could capture enemy ships, bring them back to a shipyard or research facility, and, through considerable research, reverse engineer them, adding another ship to your arsenal? As I said, however, research costs and time would be considerably large, so it would be unlikely that you could capture all of your enemy's technology, not to mention that you would have to bring it back to base intact without your enemy destroying it. Along those similar lines, if

I'm thinking that it could have a couple large turrets. Perhapse something that resembles the Liberty Battleship Missouri in "Freelancer" (sorry, that's the closest example that I could think of, unless anyone saw the Concordia-class Cap Ship out of the "Wing Commander" movie, which should have been ? way, way better than it was). If given the appropriate boxy/industrial look, I think it would still look TECish. Please, if you agree or disagree, I'd like to hear everyone's opin

Thanks for the info. I definitely agree with 1Spartan. It should be the ultimate battleship. What about its armor and ability to withstand damage? That alone may even it out a bit. "Stop exploding you cowards!"-Capt. Brannigan to fleet in Futurama.

It would be nice to have a small, resonably fast and armed ship that could cloak. They would be great for hit and run attacks and my, ah, covert operations. Even so, if it can't be done for gameplay reasons (provided they are good reasons), I guess I'll live.

Thanks for your quick reply, Emperor Xavior. How well does it do in battle, and I'm also curious to hear from anyone on their suggestions on when and how to use it in battle (strengths and weaknesses). Also, as a possibility, perhaps we should start a post on the different ships featured so far in the game? At least until they bring back the ships section on the site.

On the second picture (the one with all of the ships attacking the space station), what is the ship on the far right called and does anyone have some really good screenshots of it? Also, it looks pretty cool, but how well does it perform in battle?

It would look cool to have something similar to the radar guided gattling guns that are on present day aircraft carriers. Anyone remember the carrier attack scene from the movie "Sum of All Fears"? Perhaps it could only be 50% effective like the PDS on the U.S. King Rapter in "C&C Generals: Firestorm" or be limited only to one class of ship. Still, if it can't be done because of gameplay issues, I agree it should be dropped.

I just was wondering, does this game allow for more defensive strategies? I missed beta 1 and plan to preorder before the June beta when I find out what my address will be (I am moving sometime next month, so I can't have it shipped to this address). The reason I ask is because a number of recent games have made a defensive play all but impossible, with Supreme Commander being the only exception I can think of at the moment. I know that the best defense is a good offense, but it is occasional
