By the way, here is a hypothetical post. If I received something like this, I'd be completely happy.
CPTBeaker, Stardock has great things in store for Object Desktop and Object Dock for '08. - DeskktopX - currently developing the following v4.0 features: - the ability to export DX objects as ObjectDock docklets - customizable object reflections for each added state - ObjectDock - currently only planning minor v1.9 updates:

Is is possible to call up the Start Menu with a DX object? OD+ has a built-in docklet that will call up the Vista start menu, but a DX object does not seem to have the option to change its type to something with that functionality. I can change the object from 'layer' to 'shortcut' but have been unable to find a way to make a 'shortcut' send a keystroke (i.e. the 'Windows' key) that would call up the Start Menu, like pressing the Windows key would. Is th
The thing is . . and I love updates as much as the next guy . . that you bought version x. There's no need to become "concerned" about no updates because really . . you got what you bought.
With OD+ I would agree 100%. With Object Desktop, that's a different story because I pay a yearly fee to receive updates for the components. Granted, there have been some pretty good updates (like with WB that you mentioned) and some kick ass additions like Descapes. But like I sai
Please, don't ask for timelines. Only bad things happen when they are given out.
I know that nobody likes to be tied to a timeline. Several requests for OD update information have been made here. How about some news? Is Stardock still actively developing OD or not? If so, what new features can we look forward to and what kind of timeline can we expect? Please let us know something.
Did I post more than once? I posted a similar question on the Wincustomize Forum...Is that what you mean?
Yeterday I asked how to use Objectdock to activate a DesktopX object or Widget and got the answer...by creating a shortcut to the Widget .exe or the object's .dxpack file - actually it was a 'stupid' question and the solution was simple. Now I need another answer to solve my problem, how to make the same link deactivate (or hide) the object or Widget if it is already open. I'm trying to get the functionality of being able to 'toggle' the DX object on/off with t
Obviously, neither did I. Thanks for the quick response.
Stardock - Are there any plans to add live reflections to ObjectDock? I use Desktop X to make ObjectDock reflections but they are static and a pain to update when you add or delete an item from a dock.
Is it possible to make Object Dock (..well, and object on a dock) activate, load, or make visible, a DesktopX object or Widget?
I installed Virtual Desktops last night after the beta was released, adding support for Vista. I have multiple docks positioned at the top of the screen. After adding the Virtual Desktop toolbar to my Windows Vista taskbar, the section of the wallpaper underneath my docks "shifts" over about 1/4". The shift occurs on the boundary of the reserved space - defined by my docks. It makes it look like the wallpaper is tiled at this location This is samll, but very annoying bug.
Sorry for posting a bug already identified - I did not read the earlier posts.
I have 3 tabbed docks, positioned at the bottom of the screen, set as 'drawers', hidden off screen when a window is maximized. When they are completely off screen (at the bottom), moving the mouse arrow to the very top of the screen (corresponding to the dock's location at the bottom of the screen) will make the dock(s) appear.
As above, same problem here. UAC is off, Vista 32bit Home Premium, OD 1.9 Plus, upgrade from 1.5 Plus beta (I don't recall the build). It seems like the menu is displayed most of the time, but clicking on a menu item brings up the error dialog every time.
I tried running OD as Administrator and still get the same error.
UAC is not enabled. Should I be running OD as administrator?
I keep getting a Start Button docklet error - Can't display Start Menu - error injecting start menu helper - or something to that effect. I'm running the latest OD beta on Vista Home Premium.
