Obsessed with tech? With how much you can 'multi-task'? I see pictures of two lovely people, amidst the junk. Where do they fit in?
Well I give up. Call it junk, but I don't have to vacuum, I have an amazing steam shower, I can do more with a computer then you guys with one monitor (No matter what the hell you think), so you can kiss my ass. I'm done with this top

All that I wanted from this topic is ideas on how to store my CURRENT STUFF in a more efficient manner. Some ideas were good ( As I said before Twilight, your ideas were very good) . Moving the desk to the left is out of the question, but some ideas were very good, only the topic has turned into a POV war with people telling me I don't need what in my POV I need, or people saying I'm bragging. If someone honestly starts a topic BY SAYING THEY GOT ANOTHER DES

... Sigh. It's an abomination in the eyes of people who are minimalist and tell people to only use one monitor? It's an abomination because I work better with multiple monitors and apparantly you guys dont? Or I'm showing off? No. I'm not showing off. Showing off would be also showing my tv: Which btw is to the lef
If you've got one bad cap, the others are probably from the same batch so I wouldn't but a lot of value on trying to repair it. If it's not under warranty, it's probably time for a new one (one that doesn't use cheap caps).
Possibly, but I'm in the process of testing the other caps for capacitance on my multimeter. If something else blew then I'll be worried...

... Ha. Ha. Ha. I have a better one. Why do males dominate the roles of computer software, engineering, science, etc? Because while women run their mouths about how intelligent they are men actually DO something intelligent.
Did I specifically SAY one program per monitor? Or did I show multiple programs per monitors and powerpoint on 1? You said one monitor [touch screen] just to LAUNCH programs. THAT part is absurd. We are all about GUI customizing...that means methods of program launching....you know...like a dozen icons on the side of a screen that can launch...a dozen programs...if you MUST then spread those all over multip

Btw boys and girls, I've always excelled at multitasking, not to mention a steel photographic memory and extremely good peripheral vision combined with very good depth perception. The more I have to focus on, the more I can accomplish. Insult me all you want, because obviously the idea that someone can do this doesn't cross anybodies minds here. If you want to actually be helpful, try not insulting me at least?
"I want to clean this mess up...but not without actually getting RID of anything." Sounds like a contradiction. Something has to give. Short of building an entirely new office to house all that junk...there's really no other solution.
The idea is to have more space for more efficient use of my time. Thanks for calling what I have junk and a mess though. You have been very unhelpful.
The touchscreen at the far left is vital, I use it to open programs. Imagine for a second, one press of a monitor, I can open IE/chrome/opera/firefox on my main monitor, outlook 2007/word 2007 on the bottom right, and powerpoint at the top right. I got it set up in a highly efficient manner. OK...let's get a sense of reality here...... exactly how often do you open a proggy.....PARTICULARLY when you appear so anal about multi mo

Btw, why are people talking about kv/m switches? Nothing is connected to each other, and they don't need to be. The pc on the floor at the right is the one on the wall, it's a linux file server. the imac is by itself. The pc at the left is a core i7 with 5750 and 5770 crossfire, it controls the 4 monitors on the left.

You guys don't understand the genius of my system do you? All the monitors are needed as I multitask with them. And btw, I did seriously ask how to get room (WITHOUT G

30 percent? I'd be surprised if it wasn't 70 percent RIGHT NOW. I haven't bought a physical pc game in ages and I don't know anyone else who has in a long ass time. The main issue with comparing it to music is that music still has large isles with cds. Go to any store and pc gaming has one small isle. You have to buy digital nowadays.

I always use artic silver 5 thermal compound... On topic, my laptop video card died a year ago and I recently replaced it. The video card had one screw that couldn't be unscrewed that I had to drill into the keyboard to get it out! I was successful.
Better yet, try to figure out why you even need that much equipment in the first place. If you just have it all because it's "nice to have", you might want to reconsider your priorities in life. Try saying to yourself "Do I really need this?" when you look at something, and if you answer truthfully, your desktop will begin to look much better.
I do alot of multitasking and I'm really good at it. I w

So, another renovation, and I'm running out of ideas on desk space. I've switched to a flat desk for more monitor space, but I need some ideas on how to get more desk space... I've even turned my touchscreen to portrait mode... As you can see from the pics, I haven't plugged the two new monitors in yet... <img src="http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg151/Zellio2008/SDC11393.jpg"

Well the thing is easy to use, quick to turn on, and good for daily use. In a few months, the same people above will complain about flash (Unless they jailbreak it, which btw guys, just came out from the guy who jailbroke the iphone..................................). Seriously though, the hype is overdone. It's reminds me of Halo 3 hype. Good game yes, but pales in comparison to pc fps games. Of course pc fps games require you to know about pcs... As

The device is an easy to carry lite version of a normal tablet. It's like any of the older pc tablets, only it's easy to use, and from what I've seen, doesn't have hand writing recognition. It doesn't have nearly the features of a netbook or another tablet, that's also it's power too, as it's easy to turn on and use. For quick internet use on the road or at home, it beats a netbook ten fold. Although considering netbooks have more use, I can't totally agree with Isla
