SkinStudio works well. https://www.stardock.com/products/skinstudio/ You can also use a text editor such as notepad or VIM.

See if you can find one in a skin. Right click on it an export as an object. This way you can import it to whatever DX skin you like or just to your regular desktop.
Try adding this to your UIS file under [TaskBar] using a text editor such as notepad or VI. Change the numbers to match what you want from the preset colors section. NormalColour=0 PressedColour=0 DisabledColour=0 FocusColour=1 DefaultColour=1 MouseOverColour=1
This is in SkinStudio XP Desktop -> Taskbar -> Taskbar Button -> Horizontal Taskbar Button Here you want to look for "focus color". Add it if it isn't there. Didn't see the attribute under the regular taskbar buttons. You might be able to make it work in a text editor of your choice.
Nice call Erichss. Now lets see what differance it makes.
"Also, we will be working on the website for the next week or so converting html to php. There will be some non-functioning links and images for a short while. Please just try back in a couple days if you come across any. These changes will make surfing our site much faster and easier! Thanks for understanding." No pics for me.
What about making an icon for desktopX? Is creating an icon for MSWord using a W a rip? or IE using their E icon but changed to suit your needs a rip? You didn't create the icon but how else are you to represent that program? Create an icon for each program? What if you use several programs that essentially do the same thing such as text edit? If you create an icon from scratch for each program it would get cunfusing and frustrating to the end user which defeats the whole purpose.
There are many odd corners at the stardock website. If you look around long enough you should be able to find it.
Two systems here running XP. The system with the clean install never crashes. It is also the weaker system. The system that was upgraded crashes fairly often. I don't even get a blue screen. It just reboots. I have been too lazy to reinstall.
I noticed that the skinners can get a time limeted version of WB and SS. Does this mean there will not be any updates to those for awhile once the competion starts? Will a skin be slighted for not using the latest features if there is an update? The reason I ask is because new features are not always documented the way they should... hint hint (cough cough). This could add more time to an already tight schedule to create a skin.
People may say they want something different, but the evidence, and research, suggests that what most people *really* want is something that looks similar to what they have already. People like to feel comfortable. That's why it's important not to move stuff around too much, and it's why XP-style skins are so popular. by Developer TheGreenReaper I was "talked to" on more then one occasion for using WB or DesktopX at work. I finally settled on a WB skin that looked f
http://www.cmsconnect.com/Praetor/prMain.htm If you have an email server. I used to work for them. Jafo was right about removing yourself. Most mass mailers just add you to a list of people they know are there. *Do your part to fight spam* Check to make sure your companies e-mail server does not relay. Exchange 5.5 defaults to allow relaying. This is where someone sends an e-mail to that server with a list of names for it to send the message to. By sending
...I imagine they'd see a dramatic decrease in their hardware sales (that may well be outweighed by the increase in their software sales). It's an intriguing thought anyway. by Mr AJCrowley And miss out on all those clever ideas like building the monitor into the computer or not having a floppy drive when they were still commonly used. They do some really clever things to hardware such as a laptop with a carring handle, but there have been too many times when they did
Support for .png or .tga? /Griffin Dreams of being able to anti-aliase curves again.
File properties that mean something. The way mp3 tags do. Giving me the ability to search for all photos with Vacation in the properties. Have the file system work as a database. That way when I do a search for something on the entire drive it is not automatically time to go get a cup of coffee. The ability to have files open using differant apps. For example when I right click on a file have a short list of apps to open it instead of the moronic "Send to..." The abil
COMPUTERS -- female, because if you don't treat them right they complain if not treated right, tend to do wierd things that make you go "Why did it do/say that?", and those that truly understand them are held in awe.
One computer has a 5gig hard drive and the other has a 6gig. One of the systems already has Linux on it as well.
I have two computers here at home. Both running XP. Currently one of the machines is an upgrade from win98. After the upgrade and messing around with the component manager for OD windowblinds is working but thinks it is on a win98 machine. I would like to uninstall/install WB so it is working properly but then I have no way to see what a skin would look like on a win98 machine. While creating a skin for WB how can I see what it will look like on a win98 machine? The preview window in s
http://nebulus.org/ Great site that explains alot of the technical stuff the filters and settings do and mean. It is a breath of fresh air after some of the "do this with these settings. Now do this with those settings." They explain why you use that effect and why it causes this change.
Nice site. Tutorials take a differant look at how to do things.
Trillian skins would be nice.
