To my knowledge all Steam did was take the digital distribution and the lobby system and combine them first. (Yes, I use Steam for Valve things and Audiosurf, but I FAR prefer Impulse.) But an

Why are you arguing? Why is it better to start here with Stardock and Brad then anywher
It's not that laptops can't run games, it's that the ones that can cost an arm and a leg more than just buying/building a desktop. And you can't upgrade them when you need to (or else upgrades cost more).
This week Demigod goes into private Gamma testing.
I'm guessing private means in-company only.
Frankly, I would rather have Stardock remain Stardock than be "the next" whatever. Maybe they can get bigger, but they should still be Stardock. As for Ironclad, I very much enjoy Sins and I very much enjoyed Starcraft and Diablo II (never was much of a Warcraft fan in any iteration). Both Ironclad and Blizzard are on my trust list until proven otherwise.
In your example, where you buy Demigod from Steam, I think the GOO wrapper would ask for account info (email and serial) and deliver that direct to the publisher via Impulse Reactor. The publisher then delivers this info to all other digital distributors that carry Demigod, and that game is added to any account you may have there (perhaps based on the email address that you have given to those accounts). I don't know what would happen if you didn't have an account... I have

Plus shipping and handling, of course.
It's the sort of love one can feel for any of their fellow humans. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I realize this isn't technically support related, but somehow I feel the need to say something. This week, I have been looking for a game to buy. I ended up (after some research) deciding on Space Rangers 2 Complete as my next game purchase. My reluctance was related to the price of said game, (that is, at 40 dollars it seemed a bit steep), but in the end I decided, when I get paid next, I'm going to buy Space Rangers 2. Just now, as I did my normal daily routine o
I would like to add that I also wouldn't like guns to be in game. I was digging what Brad was saying about the Silmarrilion, and was hoping that this would follow along with being somewhat Tolkien-esque. In otherwords not going beyond the equivalent of Third Age technology. The pinnacle of technology should be something like mithril forged, magic enchanted armor and weapons with the occasional trebuchet or catapult if you must, not gunpowder/steam powered technology. <p
That does NOT sound like my idea of a fun game! Gross...
I seem to remember in Fallout 2, if you spent too much time in radioactive pools you could mutate a 6th toe on your foot and then have it removed and keep it forever. Good times those.
"it is a good day to die" is the cheat code in WarCraft 2 that enables invincibility and makes all your units kill any enemy units in one hit. "impulse 9" is the cheat code in the original Quake that gives you all the guns with full ammo and all keys. If they don't bundle the micro-expansions for the retail market, I feel kind of bad for people who can't or won't buy things through Impulse.
it is a good day to die (virtual-cookie to who knows that one) also, impulse 9 I used to be such a cheater... By the way, I got the entrenchment expansion for only like $7.50 because of a coupon code they handed out a while ago... I wanted to keep it to use on not-MoM, but I think it would have expired by then.
So there is not a pin feature on the forums for moderators? It seems sad for devs to have to bump their own threads. People don't read stickies.
You're right, they don't read the contents of stickies, but they kinda can't help but read the title, and the title for this thread really says it all doesn't it?
