OK, I got Dark Avatar to download now. I had to turn off the show pre-release options in Stardock and download a non-beta version of Dark Avatar.

Thanks for the reply. I did both things, reinstalled SDC and turned off firewall and it still doesn't download properly. I'll send an email.

I just recently purchased Dark Avatar and I am having problems downloading it. It properly shows up under my purchased games but something weird happens when I try to download it. When I click to download it the download status bar immediately says "100% complete" and then doesn't do anything, despite the fact that the download is 251 MB. Also, the cancel button doesn't work on the download and I have to close the Stardock Central application to get the download attempt to stop.

I'm a complete newbie and I just bought GC2 a couple days ago. I've been playing it a bit but I am wondering if there is any decent starting out strategy for what to initially research during the first parts of a new game?
