Not to sound like a fanboy here, but Frogboy's AI work is the best I have ever seen in a game. He is rather skilled at it to say the least.
Lol, fanboy. Thats alright I'm a fanboy too then! [e digicons];)[/e]

I believe that like most spellcasters, channelers are just youths who find that they have a very rare talent, the ability to shape the world around them with something called "magic", and then spend the rest of their lives practicing this new skill. Maybe in academies of magic or a personal trainer or master who teaches them "the ways of the Magic" Personally I would say up until the cataclysm that the world was probably filled with channelers who made the world a better place, a
However, if you manage to slay an opponent's hero, then I don't see why your own hero couldn't just swap out whatever weapons/items they had with their dead counterpart's. After all, it shouldn't take a whole caravan to transport a single weapon, no matter how magical it may be.
Wow, yea I could definitely see this, artifact of ancient power scattered across the land and heroes are attempting to find and collect them all. I like this idea a lot!
I did this one just now, in case you're interested in a similar one.
Thank you so much! To tell you the truth I wouldn't know where to begin in doing this, however much I wish I did [e digicons];)[/e] May your days be long and prosperous O worthy channeler! The people of my nation will sing songs in your name! [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Finally, you can recruit enough heroes to your banner to complete a campaign called the Quest of Mastery."
Does this remind anyone of maybe something like Heroes of Might and Magic, where you have to go out and recover an artifact of immense power thats buried in the ground somewhere? Im thinking this, with a little tweaking would be pretty rocking! [e digicons][/e]
I still think it would be cool, but I dont really like the idea of a city rising up out of land due to a spell you cast.
I don't think the city just rises out of the ground because of a spell, I think the settlers still build it like in Civilization, but you have to imbue the land with power to make it "habitable" again after the cataclysm. At least this is what I have mustered from it all. I actually agree with you both, thinking that your idea is a neat one, Polistes&
I think that death is death, and to bring yourself back would be impossible. however why does this have to be the end of your game? I like the successor idea as well but I think your successor should be one of the heroes you have hired and imbued with whatever power you gave them, not a random character that just generates and the game says "your son has taken over the throne since your death, and has all the abilities and essences and mana you had." While you sit up in heaven and say "I had
Oh I see, Luckmann, stealing my profile pic idea, well... this shall not be tolerated, channeler! War against you and your people. You will rue the day you ever challenged Ragnarok and mine's might. We shall barrel down upon your cities, crush your people and their wills, and turn your land into the ash from which you raised it! For I am the Rising Legend, born of the Earth, Sea and Air, to do the will of the gods... Upon my dragon Ragnarok, none shall oppose me, lest they wish t
Stowe, I believe that I read somewhere that you can "hire" dragons, or convert them to fight for you and they will act much like heroes. Im thinking it would be neat to then ride your new dragon friend! A dragon and channeler together might just be unstoppable [e digicons][/e]
But there's so much I want to do in a GalCiv III that aren't in GalCiv II and really can't. GalCiv III would be a very different animal than II. You wouldn't happen to have a top 10 list made already? You know, something you can show us (with a warning it would be subject to change for any reason), or is it too early for that?
Im wondering this along with DivineWrath, Frogboy! I know your really
Well I actually just got around to trying out the demo for the game and am definitely gonna invest in it! Im a huge GalCiv2 fan, but I have always preferred Real-Time Strategy over Turn-based. So when I heard of a 4X RTS I was really excited! I like a lot of the ideas expressed in this forum so far and thought I'd include my two cents to the matter, however please do realize i have only played the demo and so input on any mistakes I make would greatly be appreciated [e digicons]:
Ok Im sorry, but I have to ask. Is there a problem with the shipment of the TA CD's because I ordered one and have not received it as of yet. I know there was a post earlier on it from CariElf but I cannot find it to check and see if there was an update. See I have the slowest internet connection on the face of this planet and cannot install the game without a CD. This is because I am too stupid with computers to even figure out the nice instructions that have been given to me over and over by t
I am not currently part of the beta, but have noticed that the capital planets of the Drengin and Korath have a "lava" look to them. I was wondering if other planets in the galaxy will look like this or if this is only applicable to Drengi and Kora. I know it is far to late to change (only 3 more day, right??), but i would think a technology to colonize lava planets would have been a nice add-on. Its just a question I had as I will not even be able to get the game before next weekend. I have
Actually I read up on the Yuuzhan Vong and they remind me of the DreadLords in many regards. Check out the Wookiepedia article on them. I mean i guess i always pictured the Dreadlords using organic armor and these guys morality seemed to fit the part!
Brad? where are you? jk. I know your busy, but I also know you could answer these the best
A Question for you all-knowing Draginol, are all the arnorian human looking, or just the 5 guardians? cuz I was hoping for something like the Chozo off of Metroid.... Awww well.... I guess I'll get over it. :p
You know what I think it is? That Coruscant is Altaria, and that the stories of Star Wars don't actually take place in a galaxy far far away. And that this "magic" thing is the force. Humans and Altarians look similar, but some Altarians possess the power of the force, lol. That's how i always imagined it. Anyways, Im gonna post one question I have from my post "Engulfed in Twilight". (Go there if you think you can answer similar questions to this) - What are the height relations of the
Does anyone read the forums anymore lol. Did i post this wrong?
I think it doesnt work

Yeah you see me looking at you girl, you already know I want to BUMP you, BUMP you up on that POST... girl... ;)
I have to question this MoO 2 thing. Does it still compare to today's market? And it the only reason MoO 3 isn't good because it is too realistic and deep? I mean, I'll never regret my decision to buy the first Gal Civ over MoO 3 and its funny I made the decision because i went against my terms about graphics and i still don't remember why. I had never heard anything about either of them, so it was just an impulse. I just want to know the reasons as to why 2 and 3 are hailed so differently.
