Reply to IE 10 Released to General Public Today in Personal Computing WinCustomize Forums

I have been using IE10 since I got Windows 8 Preview (and now Windows 8 Pro). I could not post to any forum on WC in IE10. After searching for a solution (I read somewhere) that tracking protection(s) like Abine could be the problem. So I disabled Abine, restarted IE10 and magic! Since then if I want to post on WC I just disable Abine and turn it back on when I finish posting. I have had no other problems with IE10. I like it, it is fast, stable, and nice to use.

Iyaz and Leo mention aka "dismiss" Stardock there. After looking @ that video again, I am even more SMH because the crapware they endorse is even a mess on their show. Start8 puts them to shame. Start8 is great . I was recently watching TwitTV, their "Know How" show with Leo and Iyaz. Iyaz did a segment on Windows 8 start menu replacement software. He recommended Classic Shell and RetroUi, as he blew off Stardock and Start8. I could not believe my ears. TwitTv certainly lost points with me because of their comments. SMH [e digicons]:|[/e]

ggrimshaw , I have been using Object Dock Plus (version 1.90 plus) (build 535u) on Windows 8 since the Preview Version of Windows 8 (I now have Windows 8 Pro). I have Windows 8 Pro on my desktop computer and one of my laptops. I consider myself having the best of both worlds (Windows 8 and Windows 7). There is a learning curve, but the efforts are rewarded (imho). I have been using Windows since Windows 95. As always, when a new version of Windows arrives some third party programs will get left behind, along with device drivers and the sort.
