I seem to be having link trouble in the skin comments. I usually do a search for the skin name and it shows all the skins with that name, and I use that in the skin description ... but it's not working on this one for some reason. Anybody have a clue why?

I really doubt there is anyone out there still using IE6, but I skin them anyway just because they are there. You can probably get away with not doing those. As for the rest of them, you can make them from scratch if you like, or use the the custom shape tool and apply whatever filters or styles to them. I usually use the shape tool for some and hand make the ones where I can't find a suitable shape for them.
