Good post HG! I've been here for only a year, but I feel that this community is my extended family. :D

And just so you know...I read your name as hermanherecomes for a long time, till I looked closer.
HERMAN Gender: Masculine Usage: English, Dutch, Scandinavian, Slovene Pronounced: HUR-mən (English), HER-mahn (Dutch) Means "army man", derived from the Germanic elements heri "army" and man "man". It was introduced to England by the Normans, died out, and was revived in the English-speaking world in the 19th century. It was borne by a 18th-century Russian missionary to Alaska who is venerated as a saint in the Orthodox Church. Another famous bearer was He
Happy belated birthday!....and seeing your things in those spots was no suprise to me. They're great! :D
Subdued and easy on the eyes,
You're right. Can't wait to get it! :D
I had downloaded a desktopx taskbar from wincustomize
How about downloading it again?
If Karma points could actually cure anything,I think most of us would gladly give all of ours to BoXXi and his family.
You got that right. More Karma comming your way Boxxi!!
There are storms in the area today. Maybe that's why there is a problem ....just guessing.
Congrats everybody!! :CONGRAT:
Your best bet is to open a skin in Skinstudio and see how it's put together. You should skin the UIS2 frames as well as the per pixel ones. You can use GIMP to make a blind. That's all I use. :D Vista Ready, in simple terms, means it has the Vista parts skinned.

Thanks. :D
What the heck happened to my reply? It's all jammed up next to the pic. ;p Am I the only one seeing it that way?
It was my pleasure to work on the tribute. :D I hope things work out well for you and your family. I will keep you all in my prayers.
In SKS6, it is in Edit Controls/Edit Menus and Menubars/Favorites Menu/Background
Yeah, GIMP can do that. Here is a guide to get you started. [link="http://gimp-savvy.com/BOOK/index.html"]Grokking the GIMP[/link]
Gimp is not a 3D program. You can't rotate things to see all it's sides, etc. (I think that's your line of thought) However, if you've made and image in a 3D program, and open it with GIMP you can edit the 'flat' picture of it. Am I making sense here? ;p Maybe it would help a little if you tell us what you are trying to achieve, and we can point you in the right direction.
Pretty sure Xiandi was referring to the OP always posting his screenshots in new forum posts.
I was. ;)
Excuse: Pre-Nap Posting.
An afternoon nap in my house is called an "old man nap" 'cause only my old man takes them.
figured out, if I create a .png in PSP, then open that with paint.net (free) - then paint.net would save as a .tga and skin studio would use it
Assuming he is going to make a windowblind... GIMP or Paint.net are good free replacements for Photoshop. Either will work, just play around with them and see which one you like best. There are lots of tutorials out there for them too.
I used to have this problem when I had my XP machine. I watched very closely to try to figure out why it was happening. What I discovered was that it crashed when my CPU was maxed out at 100%. It could be any programs running, and it did not happen all the time, but that's when it happened for me. I now have a Vista machine and have not had a crash since....I have not been able to max out my CPU yet (and I've tried). ;)
Hooray!!! Welcome back! :D
Try deleting cookies....and then log out, then back in. That works for me every time.
I8pie2day, once you've been around us a while you will see that we all like to poke fun at ourselves and each other. Your original post was so 'over the top' that we just couldnt resist. ;) No harm was meant. Your idea of gathering skinners for a big project is a good one. It might be difficult getting enough together though, the GUIC is comming up and lots of us are busy getting ready for that. If you want to learn how to skin things, just pick something you use and dive in!
Is it just me?
Nope. There is a thing called the Screenshot Gallery.......
