I haven't got a clue how to make anything with DesktopX, but I use it all the time. As long as it still functions on Windows 7, and it's not economically justified to do a serious makeover, how about just keeping it alive by fixing what appear to be small problems in 3.5? The tools are marvellous.

This is a bit off-topic, but I'm running a few threads in the forums at Skinnalicious concerning free software. I usually post at least one a day. (If anybody's interested, I also do one on guitars, and there's one called Skinning Stories that has autobiographies by people like Adni18, Messiah1, sViz, etc.). FREE UTILITIES: &nbsp

Impulse has been sold, and will no longer be used for Stardock skinning programs. They are working on a new Stardock Central-type application. In the meantime, go to "My Account". You can upload new versions of your paid software when they come out. I agree about Impulse; it was a very sophisticated application, but was overkill for those of us who only care about skinning software. I got e-mails about my WinCustomize and ObjectDesktop subscriptions running out

Try freewarefiles.com. It's simple and well-organized, has nothing but freeware, no extras, tests every file, and warns you if the author has bundled a toolbar with their program. Microsoft uploads their freeware there, for instance, as well as nirsoft and all the major anti-virus companies. http://www.freewarefiles.com/

There is no "complete content" download. There are large quantities of individual docks, IconPackager themes, DesktopX tools, etc. Mouseover the "Explore" button above, and click on one of the categories (such as IconPackager), and it will take you to the library of themes, and you can pick the ones you like. May I advise looking into getting ObjectDesktop. It is a package of all the Stardock customizing products,

The best of luck to the both of you. I was wondering, considering some of the posts the two of you have made recently, not to mention your avatar.
