but only surviving ships returning to the base.
They do that???
Granted, running oblivion on ATI's version of the FX or 4 series from nvidia was pretty bloody stupid.
Lol let the exploding begin!
In short: the empire is decaying on every level, it cant oppose the Greater good forever.
Bwahahaha Kovash Tauva! (and it's Standard Construction Template (SCT))
Yeah, 40k lore doesn't explain too much about the ships. All of the Battlefleet Gothic books do that. The rulebook explains the warp i'm sure (Havn't gotten the 5th edition yet but it's a pretty important subject)
Coupled with the fact that there are necrons on many planets lying in wait, they would be immensely powerful, and nigh unstoppable if they had the right timing. EDIT: Here's all your travelling means: -Tau: Basic drive that skims the edges of the warp (limited to no warp danger) -Chaos Marines: Ships use the warp for travel and can freely traverse it (no warp danger...they serve it!) -Chaos Daemons: Well...they live in the warp. -All humanity uses psyker na
this game seems to have many limits *peers at danman's limit list*
Wrong again lol. Necron ships use special fields that distort inertia and gravity around them so that their normal engines allow them to accelerate and speed up to infinite. So, necron ships never touch the Immaterium.
Actually Tau technology as it is now can enter the "edges" of the warp. Their drives force their ships onto the very surface and kind of hold them under until they get to their destination. This way of using the warp is 5 times slower than your average fully functional imperial (psyker driven) warp-drive. Since the Tau have a small empire, their version works for them but if they ever want to expand, this is the only thing that is stopping them.
Umm no, (do you mean Chaos marines?) Anyone with psykers can use the warp as a means of travel but the Tau have no psykers and are therefor trying to unlock it using technology...it's only a matter of time (and GW feeling like ever expanding on fluff...)
Tau empire could pwn everybody....if they ever figured out warp space.......(get on that Earth caste!)
Ehh i still say just make then splode.
Raaaawr
I think more on the lines of aesthetics, i think you should give the cruisers capital ship explosions or "large building" explosions....the measly escorts ones look stupid lol...
Slowing down the speed of every ship might be a BFGish bonus lol.
Technically a lot of escorts in BFG can turn on the spot (With their 90 degree turns...) Some of the escorts I've seen in the mod do these insane turns (not all the time but randomly sometimes :P) but the bigger ships should have a wider turn.
And also if there was a really pwnish artist out there, player portraits would be sweet!! :D (I can draw mediocre, but i wouldn't be able to do justice to player portraits lol...)
No...just think it should be better one on one...but w/e, I'll build up a huge fleet eventually. (Also wanna note resources is still kind of an issue later game, market crashes all the time AND YOU NEED MONEH!!!) May i suggest lowering fleet cap costs and/or the percent it takes away from all ur incomes.
Mmmk, first impression of Planet Killer for me is: NOT ENOUGH POWA!! I don't think it's good enough damage wise (against other capital ships) and its ability (when used against a Desolator) was practically null. So, definetely make the ability a lot better (and is it possible to make it usable on planets???!) In response to the turrets, I think different values would be nice. Less damage for escorts. And less to start for capital ships but then make it upgradable for more damag
Lol, it's so simple...
You just havn't known the Warhammer 40,000 universe long enough to understand it...I've been into it for years and I have no objections to the scale of it, it's all really point of view. (If 40K is the only sci-fi you knew, you would think it makes sense...and though it's not the only one i know, it is my favorite so i'm loyal to it :D ) (and why is the damn emote chooser screwed up all the time...)
each torpedo in BFG is a couple killometers long (correct me if i'm wrong)
Basically, the capital ship torpedoes are going to be about this size (maybe even larger) but the torps on escorts wouldn't be this big (but they would still be enormous...)
You have the model for the Iconoclast right? because i noticed it was the left out escort. :( In comment to the whole debacle going on, when i read their can/can't do list, it sounded like what we are doing is allowable and to be honest I don't think they are really going to find out about this and if they did, I don't think they would care. (Yay all BFG models soon :D ) EDIT: Oh yeah what about the GC model, I know the others exist but I havn't seen anything relating
Starcraft 2 mod for Red Alert 2 (die)
LOL?
and what is this about "because of GW policies"?
Bah! Don't think about it X, just keep making the mod great :D
I see on the Port Maw topic you say "Because of GW policies". Ummm here's what i got to say, I like Gamesworkshop, they have good games and models but....SCREW THEM!! They are freakin paranoid and over-protective lol. (They should be hung for what they did to Damnatus :( ) K there's my rant.
