You know Jafo, I'm really shocked at myself. Remember when that plethora of Luna skins hit the sites? My reaction was pretty much the same as most: "oh not another one..." "get on with it..." etc... But now that I've got XP, I'm finding I kind of like it.. I think I need my head checked.

The bible has been through so many translations and editions (yes, parts have been taken out, or modified) over the years, that I find it very reconcile basing my like on it. That, and many other reasons are probably a large factor in my atheism (Jafo, I don't think that was spelled right..). Ok, I'm gonna go sit in my fallout shelter for a bit.

Frogboy: "Evolution for humans is basically over. " Well, there are the little things. Like: we definately have less hair than ancestors, and this looks like its continuing to this day. Have you noticed, for instance, male pattern baldness is increasing? I believe this directly linked to the way we pretty much control our environment to suit ourselves. We're not in the sun all the time. We have air-con. And spiffy clothes. Ok, so I was splitting hairs here... Forgive me <img sr

No one has mentioned (I think) that while you're in your mother's womb, there is a short period where you are actually equiped with gills, and a tail. I find this somewhat disturbing. I'm lucky enough to have a mother who has a collection of medical books that could rival... um, well its impressive ('specially the old ones). Anyway I'm going to go see if I can (re)find the facts to back this up. wierd.

Ran a little one-line hobby BBS back when I was 14 using RA. Used it to swap and collect amiga .MODs... Kinda like napster except it was all our work. While we're on this topic, does anyone remember the terminal program Terminate?

Every thread I start, or join one, it seems to die within minutes of posting... There must be a word for this phenomena. Anyways, I'm off to change me nick to Thread_Killer

Since reading this article, (on BNews and ZDNet), my day has gone from bad to worse. I just can't understand how an operating system of this calibre can have had such a tough time trying and failing to capture the imagination of, well, just about anyone who is in to these things. Anyone who has used BeOS, (and I don't mean playing with teapots), would have to agree that technologically speaking, BeOS is potentially the most advanced OS out there. This is sad. Maybe they should have tried shoving

Uh, oh. My last post could be interpreted as a drive-by Microsoft bashing. So I'll amend it to: Yes, database file systems rock. I've been using it on BeOS, and find myself missing it terribly when I have to get back to windows. This approach of using user-defined attributes is similar to what Microsoft was trying to accomplish with Win2K. I think they ran out of time.

Has anyone noticed that WB2.21b doesn't ask whether you want the wallpaper applied, (regardless of the settings)? Maybe I'm just loosing my mind. Anyway, last night, I was trying to remember the last time WB crashed on me.. I can't. IMO, the developers don't get enough credit.

Yes, one of my coworkers was on the recieving end of that a little while ago. Very entertaing, especially when he contacted his buddy and informed him of the problem, and discovered that he'd gone away for the week. Also the infected MSIM client claimed to be [email protected] or something equally funny, can't remember too well.

Hmm, left myself wide open there.. Before I get slapped around for insinuating that steppin' is easy, I'll add that I had great fun setting it up the first time, (or couple of times.. heheh.).
