Death King Demigod I propose an Evil (arguable!) Death King Demigod, something akin to a Ringwraith from Jackson`s LOTR films or a Lich King from pen & paper rpg days. The Witch-King is the preference. My case is predicated upon the following ability ideas: <span style="font

Earth Master Ability I propose an Earthen Fortification ability. Energies of the earth regenerate over time the integrity of structures. When utilized, structures either targetted or within the ability`s targetted area of effect begin to regenerate Hits/Health, at perhaps a slower rate than that at which the Unclean

Brentmeisterr, I do see what you`re saying (well-spoken), but I believe dynamic pricing would balance things out. Consider that over the course of a number of games my Torch-Bearer consistently purchases the -25% cooldown Helm. Come the 6th or 7th game, if that item is featured in that game, it will b

Thanks folks. I wouldn`t recommend making such things features of every map, nor of making every flag of X type feature this trait. I simply offer it up as another asset with which to craft interesting & different maps. I don`t think I`d touch health... these 'Drains' (?) would probably work best

Teleport To Flag Stuck Using the Unclean Beast, I utilized an item (some type of Orb) to teleport to the "Flag" - the mid-map gold flag. I captured it and then proceeded to leave the Flag, only to find my Unclean Beast was stuck in place. I had to wait for the timer on the teleport item to elapse so I could teleport away.

Game Slowdown Simple explanation: entities get stuck trying to navigate between towers. Cpu cycles are being spent on each entity, trying to figure a way around the map. As entities build up, cpu power is increasingly devoted to solving unsolvable dilemmas - the greater the traffic jam, the slower the game runs. </p

Camera Perspective At the moment in Beta 1A the camera is by default locked to your Demigod position, tracking & following the Demigod. By double-tapping the 'Space Bar' you toggle between this perspective and a freely point-zoomable camera. Every t

Draining Flags Another asset to assist in the creation of interesting and varied contests/environs. Have a flag point of fair importance constantly drain the energy of any Demigod that is within range to capture it. The rate should be substantial. Takin
Random elements in a competitive or tournament setting are BAD. What happens if you're playing 1v1 and the chosen items give a much larger advantage to the enemy Demigod than your Demigod? Sure, it won't happen all the time, but it will happen. Using the current balance, imagine trying to use the Torchbearer, but the -25% Cooldown helm wasn't there?
<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif

Interesting. Please remember that imo the first beta setup has worked - t`was fun. I look forward to trying new things; I hope the final game incorporates all sorts of contest concepts and approaches. Quite cool. Thanks for the update.

This is a first for me. There were 4 Demigods in a single area, 2 Rooks and a Torch-Bearer and maybe a Regulus. Both Rooks were raising Towers, though not necessarily at the same time (perhaps unbeknownst to me the enemy Rook tried to raise a Tower at the same time as or in the same place as I did (?)). Armies were continually converging on our battlefield area. T`was a singleplayer skirmish versus the computer.
I believe that there are good arguments for not reselling software but let me take it one step more. If you like a game, don't you want to reward the company so that they make more games? Reselling a game you liked instead of forcing a new sale distorts the metrics that go into the question of "Do we make more things like X or do we have to close up shop?" [/q

I would say think of it this way: the character you are controlling is not you , it is a seperate entity in a game world to whom you are giving directions. Thought of in this way, the controls are ponderous yes but apt. If we eliminate any delay or lethargy in command-to-action, I argue that we would garner too much control, such that certain

I would describe it as acceptably cludgy. Appropriately cludgy. The Demigod characters are larger-than-life beings... I do not expect nor want surgically precise controls over them. Case in point, one *shouldn`t* be able to "dodge" a Rook boulder very easily in this game - I don`t want to see the Torch-Bearer 'UT-double-tapping to the left' to roll out of the way...
