WinCustomize ForumsGIMP is a great editor, and it's totally free. It also allows you to save images in .psd files (photoshop) which is cool if you want to do Xion skins.....

Leo I had to install that patch after my main hard drive went out. Fortunately, I had backed everything up to my ext. hdd except XP itself. That patch was a life-saver. Kept me from having to call MS Support, too.....
