gunnergoz: the splash screen should show 1.08 (with nothing after) and history log will have 1.08 beta if you had it at one point. Those are not the indicators :) After it failed verification and re-downloaded, look at the bottom of your games impulse tab while you have Elemental selected. There should be things like: Elemental Updated: 9/18/2010 Stardock Entertaiment Version 1.08 Move your mouse that it hovers over 1.08 an

*facepalm* I know about the spots you are talking about too now. I'm sorry about that, should have thought about it seen as I've ran into the issue with other games' toolsets too. Do you want me to fix/resubmit, or you've done it already?
Hm. Odd. Gunnergoz, try removing some files from your Elemental install directory. Elemental.exe, maybe. Then run verification again?
In case you had the beta and pre-releases option checked on Impulse, your game version will be 1.08b (beta). The lastest fix seems to be 1.08.037. To get it, do this: 1) Go to Impulse preferences and uncheck 'show pre-release (alpha/beta) versions'. 2) Shift-right click Elemental on 'my games' tab, you will see the 'Verify Installation' option. Click it. After it finishes you'll see the mes
I think it's a shortcoming of the way the clothing is being attached to the character. What I think is happening is when you generate the sovereign (or unit), if you pick the hooded piece of clothing it overwrites the hairstyle because both the hood and the hair they both use the same hook (head). The way kids generation seem to be handled is that they randomly pull their outfits/hairstyles/headmodels/skintextures from the selection available to p
Heavenfall: of course go ahead! I'm a bit troubled they are there in the first place :/. Mind telling me what's wrong?
Great! Was a bit peeved to see them look the same in the unmodded game myself :). I'll do the Palace first, and if nobody claims the Mint of Ruvenna while I am at it, I'll do it after.
Kalin: I just asked because I remember playing a random game (Tarthan kingdom) and they started in the desert. I've also had them start in green/near forests, so that's why I was wondering if there is a way to force terrain. Here's Great Theater WIP: And here are the actual .xml files: <a href="http://www.mediafi
On the subject of sitting people, I've a new-found respect for the person who sat down all those little people in the original tile of Great Theatre. I put down half as many and the clock gained two hours and my hand hurts something fierce now.
John_Hughes: *waves hand* they climb some ivy :P Alternately, I can put down the ladder to the pillars supporting the top two rows... wasn't concerning myself with such trivial details :P. And that fire shrine looks nice! Bit odd with all those trees in the desert though... is there a way to convert the terrain under the influence of a faction into a different type in game?
I like! I was looking for ways to set up the waterways but my own experiments turned out lacking :P. That irrigation system looks almost garden-like :). Grand Theater for feedback: Is it too busy/crowded? Should I get rid of some of the ivy? <img src="http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/8098a4af935bae7642fdafac62a180896g
Sneak peak at the Great Theater. There are no trees, people, and clutter yet, and some corners on top are sticking out will need to be strategically hidden, but the base is done :). <
Havenfall, how do you feel about replacing hedge-wall with desert wall? Its color may be a better frame for the shard. Or it may end up looking horrible. Either, or :P
Jharii: Yah, lining up objects is a near hair-pulling experience, especially smaller ones. Lining up tilted ones is near impossible. Probably easier to do via editing .xml than by hand... I might try that next time I feel the urge to place some books on tilted tables, ugh. One thing I found helpful in getting things to line up is play with the scale, rotation and offsets after you select an object but before you place it. I found I memorize the angel values better that way, and
Abbey of Izil work in progress ( as in critique away :P ). Like, dislike, scrap it?
John_Hughes, thank you :) As for the arch, I went with 'if it's not broken, don't fix it' and decided to keep the original intact :). Here's WIP screen of that tile: And here are the actual .xml files: Temple of Essence <
Shorter version: Hm. I'm looking at it and not liking it :P I think the higher tower really went a lot better with the rest of the tile, composition-wise. So! I'm going to do a few things: 1) I'm going to tell my inner perfectionist to shove it, and finish the previous version with WIP tile and let Heavenfall use it as <
I had a tad different idea for temple of essence that I'd like to try (similar execution, just a tad different), but if you feel like there is a building that would benefit more from this tile, reassign it. I could also just take the top tower off, and use a dome-like building for the top part, so it won't be as high (slightly above the archway) and it would look more 'common'. Lemme do it now, will post screenshots in ~15.
Heya, guys! Here are some shots of the arcane lab. Haven't done the 'being built' tile yet, but that one is quick work if the actual lab doesn't get axed :P. Front: Top-down: <img src="http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/643f33d04ff00abafe6b4e6c57f88aaf6g.jpg" alt="" width="448" height=
I'll do arcane laboratory if you'll have me :). Have been tinkering with forest-crystally thing in the editor recently. Should fit in :)
A short while after arranging marriages between my own faction sons and neighboring faction daughters (Pariden in that particular game), the neighboring faction fell. Pardon my inner power gamer, but I thought: cool! More offsprings for my kingdom! Turns out I thought wrong, as the next two to grow up chose to throw their lot with non-existent kingdom of New Pariden, first one becoming its King, according to his title on the dynasty screen. &
I am shocked none of the folks recommending the BG/ID/Fallout games mention Planescape: Torment :P. That game has a story of a caliber that probably will never grace gamers again, if only because of the Wizards' decision to scratch the Planescape setting altogether. It's an amazing game, though might be difficult to get a hold of now.
Hey, they look great! :) And since you are taking requests, I am sure a lot of dragonlance enthusiasts would appreciate a hoopack :P def HOOPAK: This weapon is a combination spear and staff sling. The end of the weapon is usually sharpened and can be thrown or it can be stuck in the ground to fire missles from the sling portion like a sling shot. It may also be used as a traditional sli
Hm. I did all the stages with my sovereign (+/- units throughout the stages) and while the dragon said she would join, she didn't. I had only two other units with me at the time, so leading too large of an army wasn't the issue... I wonder, if next time doing the quest without switching units in and out would help?
Was just trying to help :P. Cosmetic stuff is easy comparing to what you've done. Will definitely use every incarnation of this mod :)
