So just curious, what will the name of the next beta build after 1Z be if we don't think it's ready for 2? 1AA? 1 Z and a half?
1Z.2 :p So hopefully quests are actually in Beta Z in a way in which we can see them? Before advancing to beta 2 personally I'd like to see: Better stability and game save/loading 100% CORE mechanics nailed down (Quest system implemented & testable, h

So long as any disadvantage is balanced by advantages mechanically I'm fine with it. Downtime in the field might in return give the offspring higher loyalty to your faction and more likely to return to you
In Beta 1, we introduce the occasional lone NPC named “hero” to test out the plumbing.
Occasional? Were you playing the same build I was? In my games there were more heroes than all other NPCs combined by the time my sovereign was marriable age. Aratomel Gwathon was one of my old Shadowrun charaters. An Elven physical adept who was good with martial arts and the sword. His most important ability was

I've researched a lot of adventure techs in my games, I've yet to see a single quest. I've also not been able to recruit any heroes, these are both things I've been FOCUSED on testing. I've not seen anyone else having posted in the forums about being successful with it either. So you might want to double check that they actually are working int he public beta. Then it would be nice to know how to reproduce it so we can actually test those systems which we're supposed to.

I know there are supposed to be quests in this patch. But I haven't seen any!!! I haven't seen anyone else posting about them either. Has anybody seen quests or done one yet? Something appears to not be working.

I'd really, really like it if either the profession and/or the ethnic group chosen gave a starting technology to for your civilization. This would get the early game going a lot faster. That said, I'd like to see lots and lots of historic professions. There might also be some less noble professions: Titan slave Titan gladiator Titan Prisoner Outcast/Hermit

What I like: Shard and the shard mechanic (Though I hope the game has a lot more non-shard spells) The spellbooks and spell research screen. Reminiscient of Master of Magic, and that is a very good thing. Now I miss the spell cut scenes from MoM again! Non-Combat spells. I hope you'll strive in game to keep the majority of spells non-combat. I hate that in settings like D&D they have all this "wonderous power" and al

Well with 291 I can actually play a bit with dynasties. My feedback right now is that everything seems like a rare random event. By the time I got married I could have my two opponents militarily had I chosen to. I'd like the dynasty system to be more interactive and responsive early on. Something like if I park my sovereign in town I have a bonus in getting married or having kids. Maybe increased again if I build a palace. I'd like to be able to do SOMETHING to make stuff hap

In the picture you see the tile highlight where the "hero" actually is while the hero's marker is in the lower right of the map. I need to update my old thread for this bug as I can't reproduce the same way I did before. So the mechancis of the bug have changed.

Like this: I get this bug every time after successfully loading a save game as well. Though the improvements don't display, I still get the improvement after researching the tech. This is with .291 of course where I can actually load save games.

I'm having negative economy problems with testing as well. If they don't want to balance it, they should make sure we have enough money to just play around with right now in my opinion. I just want to test out every feature and see how it works at this point and the economy hampers that.

After thinking about it, I would like the way your old "profession" gives you bonuses change. I think primarily you should get a starting tech with one, and if it is a cheaper tech some other kind of bonus to go with it. Someone who was a thief might get starting tech "Bribery", where as someone who was a farmer would get "farming". The main reason I want this is because I feel the first several turns of civ development are too slow and boring because their is s

I like what you've got so far and I"ll try and brainstorm some more that could be used. I would like to see different sets of abilities available to different races. For example Fallen Sovereigns might have the "Kind" characteristic rather than "Evil". Most of all I'd like to see a lot more medieval professions to choose from.
