Kinda what I was thinking, Jim. I like the bottom half better, but the upper half works a lot better. Another thing, is the mouse-over glow in W7. It wasn't showing up very well with a darker button. I've lightened it up some so that the glow can show through.
Sure would be nice to be able to move the shut down buttons in W7... [e digicons]:-"[/e]
who knows what your magic will bring to this skin!!
[e digicons]*_*[/e] Hey Jim, I'm slightly perplexed about the taskbar buttons. I don't like the way they're shaping up as per the original design. Seems like icons want to hang out, and things just aren't looking right. I tried a grey button alternative. Let me know which you like better.
For the min/max/close buttons i would suggest making them dark grey round buttons, and on mouse over they should get a second circle around them just like the way the start button looks but instead of the win flag they should have - ,x, square sign.
Deea, I will consider it; however, I do happen to like the small splash of colors--it adds. [e digicons];)[/e]
I would suggest the gray buttons like in my DX and maybe those colors on mouse over.
How's this?
Thanks everybody! [e digicons]:)[/e]
i'm not sure about the close/min/max buttons and their colors
Ok, then what would you suggest?
After some time-off from skinning (not my choice, been really busy with work the last couple of months) I noticed that RedneckDude had created a theme called Aero Station. He made DX goodies, ObjectDock backgrounds, a cursor, etc., but there was no WindowBlind! I asked him if he would allow me to make the blind, and he graciously allowed me. I'm really liking it so far! The skin is now available here: https://ww
I've found myself doing increasingly more in mockup work before I start cutting it up
Same here...
Thanks Brian.. and everyone else too.
[e digicons]:sun:[/e]
So, debate aside... [e digicons];P[/e] How's it coming? This is really looking sa-weeet!

Nuts. Thought this was an OD 2 announcement. [e digicons]>:([/e] First day of Spring in Northwest Indiana greets us with temperatures in the 30s... and... snowy rain. [e digicons]>:([/e] Last week, at the tail end of Winter, we were seeing sunny skies with temperatures in the 60s!
I know what it's like to be busy. [e digicons];)[/e] Looking forward to these releases!
I would LOVE to pre-order but some jackass decided that you can`t use Paypal to pay for the pre-order.
Boy, that attitude will really take you places! [e digicons]
My experience: ATI cards run better on machines with AMD processors, and Nvidia cards run better on machines with Intel processors.
And some [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=15599&libid=29"]ObjectDock backgrounds[/link] that accompany the theme! :)
And we have finally learned the reason why WG doesn't upgrade his OS! [e digicons][/e]
I have 7 tabs on a dock and in just one of them I have about 70 icons!
[e digicons]o_O[/e] [e digicons]o_O[/e] [e digicons]o_O[/e]
who would think to look for the wiki site from the Wincustomize home page?
Documentation is something that has always been lacking. It confused me when I was new, too. I never would have thought to look for a wiki.
Hope you have a great Birthday, Tim!
Looks nice, John!
1. Press your "Configure dock" icon, or right-click on the dock and choose "Dock Settings." 2. Go to the appearance tab and choose a different background.
Just a few parts that behave differently between OS's: Command bar buttons Taskbar and buttons System Tray arrow Start Menu & mouseovers ...and that's just off the top of my head. So, yes, it is worth it and necessary to create substyles.

Something was out of line , then it got bumped, and now it's fixed! [e digicons][/e]
