Says alot more than what has been said in the body of this thread. 'cept maybe this:
I'm a smart arse
Kilumanjaro
Yeah, 1 spartan really does love it when men come out of the closet... but I digress. Welcome to the community, Connacht! p.s. I'm one of the ones that bite. :d
15 y/o boy, IIRC?
mmmm... Tranquilizers... *drools*
^^What, you think we haven't seen Kill Bill? personally, my favorite will be Zatoichi
I killed it for you by posting after you.
um, sorry, I were wrong. According to Frogboy (he da boss)
No. think LATE afternoon. Whoever said 3pm GMT was mistaken. There's no way that'll happen.
kk... I heard wrong, then. Thanks, Brad.
Did it feel good?
:HOT:
:SNIFF!: when will it ever stop??? :SNIFF!:
The ENGINE is capable of that, but the actual game needs limits just to keep the insanity down. Otherwise things just degenerate into steamroller push fests. Wish I could dig up Multianna's thread and show you what I mean. He literally had 20,000+ Kols running around a system. His system nearly melted and burned his house down in the process, but the screen caps are incredible!
Actually, IIRC they said around 3pm GMT... so, around 9-10am for the US and Canada...
2nd page has all the juicy bit about the Advent the other testers will be interested in. :P 1st page is good too, though.
IGN has posted a Hands-on Preview of the famous Gamma build. (Lucky bastards) Swing on over, give it a read and a positive rating. Steve Butts really does this one justice. Hoping it garners a little more interest. [link="http://pc.ign.com/articles/848/848665p2.html"]IGN preview[/link]
Spartan! What, you give up already? No more crazy smileys? Don't tell me you are conceding defeat already!
Frikkin' LAZERS!
Given the size of the manual in the release pics (have you seen that thing!) I'd imagine these kind of thing get a mention at least there. I'm in the same boat, though, hoping these kind of mechanics are more transparent in the final.
hmmm... Name on the review says Tom Francis. Maybe thats TomChick, from the C*ckBl*ck thread. Someone should tell him you CAN move the ships on the Z axis.
A cost per jump system also favor the Turtling player FAR too much. It takes a good 50 ships to destroy a well defended planet in a timely manner, even without fleet backup. Now pay 100 credits per jump like you seem to suggest, thats 5k credits to assault a planet, plus the cost of replacing casualties. Penalizing attacking players is a great way to slow down a game. This just doesn't really fit the game. The Anti-matter penalty for jumping already puts defense to a tactical advant
Then buy it online from stardock and Download and play it on Monday.
no. But the final version will in 5 days, 12 hours and 37 minutes. :d
Well, EA recently came under new management. About the same time they acquired Bioware. It may be a sign EA has a new-found dedication to quality. But... Its EA after all. More likely they are just trying to overhaul their reputation and prove that they are at least capable of releasing a good, polished (and stable) game.
No... its right. Eets is always up for giving out rides.
Galactica... You misunderstand. Its NOT 1 day, its Day 1. Just means the update will be available to DL and apply starting on the 1st day of release. It will still be there on Day 2, Day 3, and even Day 365. no worriez, man.
