wow.....you actually PULLED OFF a germany. (off topic) (ON TOPIC) I think what they are really running from is themselves. Everyone assumes that the Vasari empire was unified. I dont see anything in the lore suggesting it was(please yell at me if I am wrong :D). It could be a splinter faction a la Korath.

why aren't the previous versions archived? I actually want to try beta 1 see how it was. I think I joined when the new KoI was added, actually when asteroids still had finite resources.

The fact is when a country that actually has the MEANS to defend its own interests tries to it gets pissed on by public opinion. This happened in WWI with something called the berlin-baghdad railway. This is one of the ONLY reasons for war, self interest and economic gain. NO ONE ever fights for life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The American Revolution was fought due to the fact that land merchants like the founding fathers wanted to settle land past Ohio when the British authorities fo

I like to think of myself as usually being rational(stop laughing!). I remember when this game was supposed to be epic rt4x space warfare. I usually am one of the first defenders of the games fun value but I dunno it really doesn't feel epic for me. I mean I usually play large but stick to 5 or 6 useful planets as the jump penalty kicks the crud out of any value had in taking a lot of planets. The ships are cool and all but they are starting to feel a little repetitive. Z-axis control was

First let me say, it is fine the way it is. NOW for the flame attraction part of my post: To the person that compared this game to the civilization series. Im sorry for my words. I love sins. It is possibly one of the best games I have ever played. But still I just dont think it has the complexity and deepness of a civilization game. That is the CIV series and SMAC(really it should be BRAC but those are just semantics) excuse. SMAC allowed you to change the ENTIRE terrain to do WHA

Since you asked so nicely, Ill poke around a bit more :D. But seriously your right. Its just that the only games I played online ended with 3 AI players if you know what I mean.(everyone dropped out :( ) On top of that I believe in the penny arcade theory.(single person + anonymity + large audience = TOTAL MORON).

I am going to reply with something that will make me extremely unpopular. Something that will sound hypocritical due to the starcraft and warcraft books out there. However this is something that I feel is true: Before any sort of SINS book can be released there needs to be a campaign and therefore we must wait for the expansion. *puts on flame proof suit* FLAME ON!

You HAVE to go through a star. Those are the connections between solar systems. There is no other option. Every single star can phase to every single star though. That is how the game is made. Hope that resolved your problem :D

You might want to double check the registry. The registry cleaners will sometimes miss stuff. If that doesnt work try the online stardock installer. go to www.stardock.com and download SDC. Input your account information and select install Sins.

I meant the reactions in clean rain. For some reason I cant edit my original post.
This is normal set of reactions CLEAN rain that makes it SLIGHTLY acidic:
Oh and:

DessanT: That is just sad. Do you know what concentrations of co2 would have to be in the atmosphere for it to be poisonous? You need 10,000 ppm to be even REMOTELY harmful. I think you meant carbon monoxide poisoning. CO kills people at 12000 ppm. CO2 helps plants GROW. Acid rain does NOT occur because of CO2: Heres some chemistry for you. This is normal set of reactions CLEAN rain that makes it SLIGHTLY acidic: H2O (l) + CO2 (g) → H2CO3 (aq) 2H2O (l) + H2CO3 (aq) ⇌ CO32- (aq) +

Personally I think that the main problem with the LRF was that it was too good to be true. Whereas I can think of realistic counterparts for most of the ships in this game I cannot think of one for the LRF. Snipers are slow and need to set up their shots. LRF moves and fires fast. Typically anything that fires fast has low accuracy. Not applicable to the LRF. IMO the LRF should just be removed or entirely revamped as something a bit more realistic. Sure ok artillery units are fragile and slow. B

Semaz...so what you are saying is that AFTER the games engine has been done, the game released, 3 patch cycles later, they need to change the game so that it meets YOUR specific needs. Do you see a problem here?

Nightraid3r so since I am born in the 21st century I should posses all knowledge of the years behind me? I know I am engaging in reductio ad absurdum but that is what your statement amounts to. They are a small development studio and this is their first game. They are entitled to their share of mistakes.
