This SUCKS!!!!! I have had this problem before, but I am doing some realy elaborate scripts for the GalCiv2 UI. I have reported this bug to Alberto, and he is looking in to it. Hopefully we will have this fixed ASAP. For the moment i dont know of any fix. Becuse this error is very rare we are having a hard time tracking it down. There is a round about way. Back up, often. I also run Keepsafe. witch backs up all my dxpacks everytime I save. PS. you might look in the "C

Hippie, OD is a yearly thing, you will keep anything you have at the end of the year. You just will not be able to get new versions after june of next year. everything up to then will still work forever. You only need to re-new if you want to continue getting new versions, and any applications that are added after that point.

MrBiotech PS. Back on the mac now, checking to see if I was wrong. But I made sure I have the latest updates od tiger, and the widget "problems" are still there. I will say one thing though, I dont think that there is a bug. I think dashboard works fine for dashboard, as apple wants it to act. I Think they would agree with you. and say "Why would anyone want to leave a widget on the desk at all times. Well i do, I keep a to do list and a few mail checkers up at all times. I can do that with Kon

MrBiotech 1) You are corect about the shareing if all you want to do is share the home folder of a user. Shareing a none home folder or a adtional drive requires you to edit the prefferances, or use a seperate program. 2) Widgets work fine in some But if you close the weather app, (Remove it from you dashboard) and then add it again. It will lose its zip each time. Also my main gripe with dashboard widget is that they are attached to the dashboard, by default you only see them

mrBioTech? what was false about my coments about the widgets in tiger? and the networking? I would be interested to know. If I am wrong I will retract my coments. But I have been running tiger since it came out on my mac, and have not found any way to corect the issues I was bitching about, other then third party apps? PS. I know you can set up shares for other drives and such buy editing the prefs files. Though it is a pain.

Not CNN.

PS, here is a WB 5 screen shot, using real transparancy, this is just a test skin. Wait untill some real skinners get there hands on it. You wont be able to do that with styleXP or any other Hacked UXTheme skin. http://frogboy.wincustomize.com/Preview.aspx?Source=Frogboy/screenshots/11044.jpg

I have to say that that style XP skin looks pritty crappy, It cant handle real transparancy so they do the old one pixel on one off trick. It was very clever when windows 95 came out. You could use the same technique with WB if you wanted. As a mater of fact you could run that very skin with Windowblinds, so you dont have to switch to Style XP to use it. However I would recoment you look around for a bit, i sure you can find somehting better looking, and better crafted. Sorry, Im in a bad

Mac Zealots Strike Again! Yesterday Microsoft announced Microsoft Gadgets. This came as a bit of an eye-opener to those of us who have been working with DesktopX for years. An eye-opener, but not necessarily a surprise... Way back with active desktop Microsoft played with this type of thing, and we knew that they had not stopped. XAML and Avalon are coming in Vista and have been in t
