As far as I am concerned whoever is paying for the bandwidth should have the prerogative to screen how it is used. I have had wallpapers moderated back on skinz.org and it didn’t make me happy, but I respected their right to do so. A I will respect wincustomize, and stardock, if they feel it is necessary in the future.

How about a Source Section? I am at the moment redesigning my FauxS-X Project website, so I can realase most of my FauxS-X Source files, CorelDRAW, Photoshop, and PNG files for use by others, I have gotten some really positive feedback at this Idea, and am looking forward to seeing what comes of my source. What I am wondering is would wincustomize.com be interested in making a “source” section so other authors would have a place to post the source files. I know some people ar

IP will use the 32 bit Icons in XP, as far as I can tell, the only problem is that it dose not replace all the new system Icons in XP, things like My Pictures, My Music etc.. But most of these you can change esaly in XP by itself, I am useing IP on my RC2 Sytem and It is very useful.

XP actually support 32bit Icons, (which is a 24bit bmp with a 8bit alpha channel) you can create these with almost any good graphics program, and you can use anti-aliasing to make them look smooth, but XP dose not anti-alias the Icons itself.

I cant help but notice that people aren’t rating the newer skins, I am guilty as anybody else, but I think that is important to let people know how they are doing, and it is a quick way to give feedback to authors, anonymously . I know I appreciate the current rating system, and would like to see it used more.

I would like to make a FauxS-X convergence theme, It supports many apps that I have not ever skinned, like Media Player, winamp. Etc… I have IconPackanger, Windowblinds and DesktopX covered. I would like to see if I can recruit some skinners to help expand the FauxS-X Project past the few apps that I work with. What I am looking for is some matching themes, I can help to some degree buy supplying my source images, but all I want is the skins to match. <img src="http://images.sta

How about a section for Miscellaneous Icons? For the last few weeks I have been spending a lot of time working on new FauxS-X style XP (32bit) Icons. I have created about 30 miscellaneous Icons, not all of witch will be needed in the IconPackager Pack. I think that a lot of these Icons would be of use to other wincustomize members using WindowsXP, I think it would nice to have a place to post Icons, I can do it at www.fauxs-x.com, even though I haven’t <img src="http://images.stardock.c

WinCustomize.com My Desktop... My Way... or WinCustomize.com Your Desktop... You Way... Of course I would love to have, and or design a DesktopX shirt with the DesktopX be different... Slogan.

I have just got rid of my win2k and switch exclusively to XP. I couldn’t find any reason not to use it. and It allows me to use programs, mostly games, that I couldn’t run in win2K. I was quite surpassed how easy it is to get rid of some of the new, more restrictive, features. Over all I am quite happy with XP.

They could be converted to other formats, but they would lose alot of flexability, Illustrator or freehand would be better for keeping the files true to thier look and feel. I will start putting together a plan for making them avalible soon.

I mostly just mean the Image files, as well as any templates that I have made to make the production of objects easier. I am not much of a programmer. It doesn’t seam like much, but it is a few hundred man-hours of work, and it would be nice to see it being used.

I am not so much trying to preserve my legacy, as breath a bit of new life and energy, into the FauxS-X Project. I have a tun oof fun with it, but if others were contributing, it would be alot easeyer, to keep up the site, as well as keep things new and clever.

I have been thinking about releasing my Corel Source files for most of my FauxS-X (LastSTEP) DX objects, I think it would allow a lot of people to easily expand the project to Programs applications & Icons that I will never have the time to do. I have never done anything like this before, and I am wondering if anyone would be interested?

Thank you to everyone of the praise, 99% of my DX stuff I have done for my own use, and it is really nice to know that they are being enjoyed by others. I only wish I could work with DesktopX full time I would like to thank everyone for many suggestions and comments, they make this worth doing. And lets not forget Stardock.com for making such a cool program.
