Yes. Konfabulator will be on the PC pretty soon and then people will get to deal with cross platform stuff. For instance, many of those Konfabulator widgets won't work on the PC because they are designed for the Mac hardware. Also, on the Mac, Konfabulator could make use of Quartz. To do something hte PC they are either goign to have to do what we did, and create DirectGUI OR they are goign to have to use layered windows for everything which can bog down the system.

In what way was Kyoto a step forward? A step forward in what? BTW, the US is the world's largest petro producer too. That is why you come across as Anti-American. You and other Europeans are so ready to cut slack to other countries. If you took out the massive amount of oil production and refining that goes on in the United States I suspect you would find that the US is as CO2 friendly as say France. And France is only low because of their reliance on Nuclear power.</P

The Democrats have, since Johnson, have really not been much of a factor in the sense of coming up with new things. Their failure today is more the result that they got their way -- they got to implement their great society and other crackpot ideas and people came to see that it was a failure. Now they have nothing new. It's the same old "The government knows best" combined with a reflexive naivete about the real world.

Hi Messy Buu. I have to disagree with many of your points. Your review strikes me as that of a Konfabulator user who has only recently started using DesktopX. Much of your review boils down not as a DesktopX vs. Konfabulator comparison but a DesktopX objects that you've tried vs. Konfabulator objects you've tried. Everything is too slow. I don't know how much of that is from Comcast and how much it is because WinCustomize.com is currently camped out on JoeUser's servers because its servers crashed. Solitair: You are correct - I believe countries should be "allowed" to put as much CO2 into the atmosphere as they choose.
