Good point. All of the media have agendas IMO. I don't think that any of the news networks are tools for any political party. I think in reality they simply have their own point of view that is the collection of opinions of those who happen to work there and journalists tend to be left of center. It's not a conspiracy or anything. That's why Al Franken's idiotic book's charges that FNC is somehow a Republican tool while everyone else is just pursuing their own agenda is so absurd.

Oh I don't agree with you at all there. Basketball, as a "industry", generates billions of dollars. Teams generate their money from audiences (TV and live). That money is dependent on the quality of their team -- i.e. their winning a lot. There are something like 30 pro basetball players competing for those dollars. I don't think I'm over simplifying. I am trying to counter the long standing assumptiong that corporations don't pay taxes. Corpos are still paying $136 billion dollars in taxes. While not the $308 billion that one might expect, the issue is currently two fold: Big companies with the resources to play accounting games are let off the hook entirely while smaller companies are paying far too high in taxes.

How can your taxes in the US be higher? If you make less than $30,000 you basically pay no federal taxes (you get it all back at the end of the year). And most companies pay for health care.
