Deskscapes is just one member of a growing Stardock family. It's got to be tough keeping all the "kids" in line. I also realize that there are more important issues before support right now than background images.(64 bit Vista comes to mind) It's only fancy wallpaper after all, MrBiggz. It wouldn't hurt to submit a ticket with as much detail as possible, but I'm sure they're aware of this by now. I'll just enjoy what works and patiently wait for proper repairs to be made, just lik
I contacted tech support and I am waiting for a response.
If you have system restore enabled, that's your best bet right now.I make a restore point daily, so I rolled back to 8:00am. If not, support will find an answer. I would like to update also, when it's working.Just another speedbump. :NOTSURE:
Ever since then it says my Desktop manager is not running (uxsms)
I just ran into the same thing. I ran Deskscapes this afternoon prior to this last update and they worked great. One hour ago I got this same error, plus something drove my digital imaging monitor to 85%+ I just did a system restore , now they're working again but clearly, something is wrong. Installed v.2.00.005 Updated to v2.00.058 Let me know if you need more data. Thanks.

I'd be honored to be another brick in the wall if room and time allowed. Just pencil me into a corner.I won't mind being erased by someone who's been here longer. Now where did I put my crayons? ;p

Thanks Philly0381,I'll chack them out. Ever heard of filehippo? Another good place, but no reveiws. They have an free update checker that actually works.Blazing fast, about 3-4 seconds.Only lists 19 of my programs, but it's dead-on accurate..NET framework required.Worth a look.I've used it 2 1/2 months with no problems. :D

Thanks for the assist,w4xpl4y3r. Here's my "new" daytime set-up.It's posed(showing off to my Mom)but I like a clean desktop.OD is hidden. Btw, if anyone out there hasn't tried Killer Meters and Media Player by Tiggz, do so.They are unreal. They sink into the desktop. Some, you can't. Molten,Diamond and one or two more are only available on install. Sorry, unless you archived WB6 and the skins, through either SDC or Impulse, Zubaz is correct.

ObjectDock is a wonderful program for organizing and tidying up your desktop.Very reliable and easy to use. You can easily change background skins or icons, has running indicators and the plus version features tabbed docks and much more, well worth the money. The free version is what I'm using available here[link="http://www.download.com/ObjectDock/3000-2341_4-10210264.html?tag=lst-1&cdlPid=10696248"]WWW Link[/link] Try it out and if you like it ,go for the paid version or jump right in and get O

To some people however, budget restraints are a key factor.A case in point,my recent post about AVG. Am I happy with the software/service? Yes. Is it worth paying for? Certainly. Can I afford to be without anti-virus protection? Absolutely not.Should I spend some of my now limited income on something that has a free and equally capable replacement? Right now,no.I was truly impressed by the objectiveness of the replies. Nobody "bashed" any products, just offered up an opinion of what they were usin
