How about this. When a player is defeated he can continue the game as a pirate. You have a fleet cap of maybe 100 with low to medium ships that respawn after awhile that the player can control and use them them to ruin everyone's economy. Hey its better then being in some kind of spectator mode after you are defeated.
I thought the point of defeat was for the player to actually be defeated, and out of the game.

Well, expect a broadside soon.
of course, none of them are posting. and with good reason
Probably nothing for them say...If they were previously apprehensive about your victories, it is now clear that you can be beaten. If you get the gist of my meaning. Or they might not be online.
Obviously he hasn't seen the size of the fighters. And frigates is something I don't expect to see dancing around like fighter craft.
It shouldn't be, considering there is organized list on the screen, and you can zoom out.

I knew that name sounded familiar.
Going to? Unless SC2's gameplay is radically overhauled from SC1 Sins already kicked its butt. Blizzard just isnt aware of it yet
Hmm, I guess we'll have to wait and see, considering that no one has played SC 2.
As Schod said, I believe he said you don't have to.
It's hard to imagine a campaign working in this type of setting, particularly when the idea is for you to fight on a large scale strategic level. Unlike a game such as C&C where you are confined to a single/small map. The developers would essentially be holding your hand and leading you on. That would seem kinda of awkward. And if they weren't holding your hand (linear gameplay), you'd essentially be doing the same thing as in Skirmish mode, except with a story in the background. This game i
Hopefully everything goes well.
Don't understand why some people want a linear story line that directs your actions, when the game revolves around galactic conquest and players making their own decisions.
You can wait a day...Heh. ;p
I'm still stoked at the fact that he actually made a chart. :D
Hmmm? A lot of users are tracking the game on gamespot. I know 3000 are watching it.
Glad to see some sites are recognizing this games actual potential, and not purely going off hype. How many "Top 10 for whatever year" games actually sucked........
Good to see that Ledger's death spawned another worthless argument on this forum. Cheers!!
Seriously......
uh, yeah....
Here's what I gather, first Anny was lucky and used no strategy (even though he/she won), next (if I'm correct) Schod wasn't fully prepared, and finally, Anny actually helped him when the battle, despite previous claims....Am I missing something? I mean Schod, you wrote a freaking ESSAY explaining (seemingly) why Anna's victory wasn't legitimate!!!! And made an actual chart!! If Anna is picking on you unjustifiably, then you have to find another way man.
Jesus.......SMH!!!!!!!! Sorry Schod.....You did it to yourself. ROFL at that chart.
I read somewhere that a some games (with 100 planets) can take upwards to a week.
Incorrect?
Given the vast amount of information for the AI to cope with individually in sins, it becomes a very hard game to write a good AI for, which is why the placeholder displayed such simplistic behavior in a complex environment, something which should have been acknowledged in the review.

well in any case their only complaint is a lackluster AI that can be beaten teh same way every time. hrm, that
Cause George let his curiosity get the best of him, and was reprimanded for his vices.
I just hope everything comes together in the end, and this game turns out to be a classic. And good single player a.i., if hasn't been improved (I'm assuming it has), will be a plus. ;)
