Amen to that. The PC is the most robust gaming system.
There's a key difference. Steam came bundled, operational, and officially launched patched with the games, such as Half Life 2. Everyone knew, upon purchase, that Half Life 2 would have Steam. With Sins, Impulse was just an empty suit nobody knew much about. I don't know what Valve did with Half Life 1, but if they required Steam for updates to it after having released stand-alone patches for over a quarter of a year (time periods are also critical), then I would have had the same
Doesn't Valve do the same with their games and Steam? I think its just a more convenient way of updating a game.
At the moment, we are experiencing overkill...too many pyros in a team. Hopefully things will settle down and with a more balanced team, the strategic options are limitless.
Hey guys , first time on a stardock game but i think it is WORTH evry cent i payed for !I bought the game only beacose i wanted to encourage a drm less game but i discovered what an incredible gem this game is !THANKS STARDOCKBeacose your quality standard and the lack of DRM crap you won another big fan !WAY TO GO, give the example to others !AND PLEASE FORGET ME FOR MY BAD ENGLISH !!
Forgotten :p Hey! what about the Ironclad guys? Left 4 Dead is a potential for best zombie game ever...it has everything i want.
This is EA. You really think so?This is the return of starforce >_ Just to clear some misconceptions. There is no announcement on a spore 'DEMO' yet. The creature editor which is due out in about a month or two will come in two flavours, basic(free) and a more bigger editor which will not be free(it is a full editor).
I'm exporting it into xsi. I select export and softimage xsi. What version of blender are you using?
You can download the game using stardock central. As long as you have your CD key you can redownload from SDC.
For adding a new race etc, check the modding subforum.
I have tried to use galaxy forge, but I keep getting an error and it will not let me run the program. I have tried downloading the program independently and by itself, and have re-downloaded and attempted to use both versions...Any one have any ideas?
What is the error message?
Hi 111Nirvana111, I'm from across the causeway. We have a group of us playing the game almost weekly. If you want to join in PM me.
I dont think Sins1.04 is compatible with maps made with the current version of Galaxy Forge? It doesn't appear on my custom map list in game too. Any official confirmation? And when will we get an updated Galaxy Forge?
What do u mean iam i just sposse to open it up and start using it??? It isn't attached to the game is it, all u do is make a map than save it were the other galaxy maps are?
Yes. Take note of the path your glaxy files are at.
Lol i lost that game mainly because my capital ship tried to chase his critical capital ship and ended up losing mine instead Then yeah downhill battle from there since it was really early on.
He did the Warcraft3 hero tactic and you fell for it. Run the Cap ship around while the enemy focus on his Cap ship while he whacks your Cap which is chasing his and not doing any damage. Be aware of your own cap ship health.
Reuben...trying to get a new strategy after loosing to fujkenasai huh ;p Yeah Vasari phase misiles have this added advantage...BTW there is another thread about this topic somewhere here in the topic. You could try searching for it.
Aarrgh got rick rolled after April Fools day! This just ain't cool anymore.
You need to click update from the Sins Of A Solar Empire Launcher. Or from in the game menu.
Not DX9 compatible perhaps? The video card that is...
Yeah its still there. Slightly improved but its not solved.
aye i have this issue as well. Very irritating.
I'm from Asia(South East Asia to be precise). I can tell you there is a lot of interest for this game where I'm at. Unfortunately many are waiting for the retail release(if it is released here ever). Bloody awesome game. Unfortunately my online experience has been a laggy affair with Americans. The ping alone will kill me. So any Asians here with the game should group up. Australians/New Zealanders welcomed too.
Many use FRAPS: [link="http://www.fraps.com/"]WWW Link[/link] But the framerate drop is noticeable that we dont need to see the FPS count.
Ah...Another WiC player getting into Sins. Nice to meet you..And welcome to the cult! :p
Yeah its an old PD 940. Not the best thing out there but i think it peformes fairly well in alot of games. sadly my motherbord dosnt support C2D so im a bit stuck for now. Also that colored text thing is anoying.
Are you sure? Mine is a PD915 and its using an LGA775 which obviously supports a C2D. SHouldn't yours be a socket 775 mobo too?
