There's a key difference. Steam came bundled, operational, and officially launched patched with the games, such as Half Life 2. Everyone knew, upon purchase, that Half Life 2 would have Steam. With Sins, Impulse was just an empty suit nobody knew much about. I don't know what Valve did with Half Life 1, but if they required Steam for updates to it after having released stand-alone patches for over a quarter of a year (time periods are also critical), then I would have had the same

At the moment, we are experiencing overkill...too many pyros in a team. Hopefully things will settle down and with a more balanced team, the strategic options are limitless.
This is EA. You really think so?This is the return of starforce >_ Just to clear some misconceptions. There is no announcement on a spore 'DEMO' yet. The creature editor which is due out in about a month or two will come in two flavours, basic(free) and a more bigger editor which will not be free(it is a full editor).

You can download the game using stardock central. As long as you have your CD key you can redownload from SDC.

I dont think Sins1.04 is compatible with maps made with the current version of Galaxy Forge? It doesn't appear on my custom map list in game too. Any official confirmation? And when will we get an updated Galaxy Forge?
Lol i lost that game mainly because my capital ship tried to chase his critical capital ship and ended up losing mine instead Then yeah downhill battle from there since it was really early on.
He did the Warcraft3 hero tactic and you fell for it. Run the Cap ship around while the enemy focus on his Cap ship while he whacks your Cap which is chasing his and not doing any damage. Be aware of your own cap ship health.

I'm from Asia(South East Asia to be precise). I can tell you there is a lot of interest for this game where I'm at. Unfortunately many are waiting for the retail release(if it is released here ever). Bloody awesome game. Unfortunately my online experience has been a laggy affair with Americans. The ping alone will kill me. So any Asians here with the game should group up. Australians/New Zealanders welcomed too.
