Oh, I did pay 3 times more than normal though. That part is true. And so is the part about getting my friends to buy it. The exchange rate really is that high and it really does cost that much for someone outside the states to buy games. Anything in the first post that doesn't have the word pirate in it is true. AS FAR AS YOU KNOW. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. *cough cough cough cough*

(:( I never said I was a contributor to the scene though... I'm not sure there's a "scene" to organ harvesting and fake automobile part manufacturing that I should be a part of. I guess it's about time to set the record straight then. Since there's a strange lot of people who take things waaay too seriously.
Sorry to sort of jack the thread here, but do you guys all generally feel that the carrier cap is superior to the kol (or equivalents) for your first cap ship?
Pretty sure for Advent, the carrier is better than the battleship. Especially in the earlier stages of the game. The Kol is definitely more powerful in direct combat than the Sova though.

Sakhari: The hatred comes from typical blind fanboyism not getting what they want. You know, PS3 owners complaining why Resistance didn't get a perfect score. Or Xbox owners complaining why Halo 3 didn't get a perfect score. Or Wii owners complaining why Twilight Princess didn't get a perfect score. It just so happened that the scapegoat for their hate was Gamespot. Which just coincidently followed with that Gerstmanngate issue. Well, that's my take on it.

A lot of uppity folks here... Wonder why everyone is so easily ticked off. Anyway, congrats. Gamespot is pretty notorious for its generosity, but seeing as you guys didn't pay for it, it just means it's all the more better.

Uh... this is a really, really slow paced game. The opening moves don't particularly make that big of a difference. Anyway, here's how I typically start when I have no clue what's going to happen: 1. build 1 crystal mine 2. build 1 capship factory 3. build Akkan / Progenitor (I hate playing Vasari) 4. build 1 metal mine 5. build 1 scout 6. build 2 light frigates 7. build 2 research facilities (tough choice, this one. Military or civilian? Hrm...) 8. expan

But obviously you won't read them lest you change your mind. :p Oh well, I tried. I don't really feel like justifying anything else because it's just feeding of trolls but this sentence caught my eye: "Trying to justify theft with a lot of words doesn't accomplish anything besides wasting said words." WOW! Ingenius! Seriously! What the hell are courtrooms and lawyers for! Wasting words trying to justify crime! Get rid of the whole legal system. OBVIOUSLY they are trying t
Real alien men use mind bullets. Are you saying that the TEC's massive economy does not hinder your shield capabilities? That's unfortunate. Let me know when you face the 2 TEC supercannon + scout tactic. It's fun.
I was half jesting half being serious. This is a strategy game. Not a matter of life and death. There's no ultimatums and everything is only limited by the scope of your own ability. So it doesn't matter h

Hey, I thought you guys at Stardock were curious if your strategy of luring pirates to play your games through (*ahem* economics) added utility and copy-protection free games worked. I'm an uber pirate. I hail from South East Asia. Me, my mates, my family, and everyone I frigging know pirates everything from watches to cars to explosives to software to porn even. Lots of valid reasons for this that I won't get into simply because of selective reader perception which is probably

You live in the Philipines, eh? So, you're telling me you live in South East Asia (the very HUB of piracy itself: I should know. I grew up there.) and don't know how piracy even works? That serial number you have there probably doesn't even exist on the database since it will be generated via simple algorithm. That keygen won't let you update your game, let alone let you play online. I have no clue why someone would need a keygen for this game since you can play it without CD key... but

Has anyone else noticed that in almost every screenshot of Sins combat, it's a picture of the Vasari getting owned? And if it isn't, it's a picture of Advent lasers? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.....
