Question I have yet to see discussed: If premade teams truly desire to have competitive matches and not rofl stomps, why dont they either... A: join other matches so that they will likely be put up against another premade, rather than hosting their own all the time?
I play both premade and pug. When playing premade, it is very tedious to get everyone into a premade game hosted by someone else. I can tell

You cannot ignore creep waves when giants are lumbering toward your citadel. If you don't deal with them, they start to
Theres nothing wrong with cap locks, they're a strategic addition that prevents people from flag tossing back and forth. The game is not over if you lose a flag. The game is over when you're team lets them KEEP that flag.
The real problem with flag locks is that the cool down time on the flag lock scroll and teleport scroll is less than the length of the flag lock. You can literally teleport back in and lock the flag before

Good counter point. 3 min rule obviously does serve a purpose.
It is also important when someone drops right at the beginning of the game due to a connection issue. I can
If you are playing in a premade with friends, say so in the title of the game. It's unfair to PUGs to join a game against 3-4 players on voice comm cooperating against total strangers.
The real solution is to add random teams - then you will know instantly which games are and are not premades. The sad fact about premades is that anyone that knows what they are doing can spot and avoid premades. So premades ar

It's not even worth continuing a game if one of your teammates LD. You would be FAR FAR better off just having the DG taken out of the game altogether. My four year old son plays with more intelligence than the AI. How hard is it to program the AI to start running when it is solo and two DGs start coming towards it? Just too many good games tonight where someone LD and a close game turned into a complete route, because our brilliant AI decided to suicide every

Well the sad thing about disguised premade games is that after a while, everyone but the new players know that the match is with a premade.

We kept telling him that the player was an AI, but I dont think he figured it out until about midway through.

Those statistic assume that the presence of a QoT is mutually independent of what goes into the other slots. I am far less likely to take a QoT or Reg or TB or Sedna if my team does not not already have a tank of some sort. Further, for Pantheon games, QoT can only go into half of those slots.

Wow this thread exploded. Premades have a huge advantage over random PUGs. Both from knowing how your team works to having real time voice communication. It goes without saying that if you are playing with friends, you are on a voice comm program. When I played Quake 1 DM professionally over a decade ago, we played using conference calls. Today we have ventrillo, teamspeak, and rojer wilco may even still be around. [quote who="Milskidasith" reply="8" id="

My wishlist: Premade Pantheon games. Fix the character lock up after using certain abilities (your char just stands there for a full sec). Add UI elements in lobby that launch to each players Pantheon stats.

Here is a tip: name your games appropriately. None of your last 20 games include any indication that you are are premade so I can see people joining the lobby and leaving after finding out the game includes a premade. Especially since it is clear from your record that you are stomping the other teams - you are bound to get complaints. And another tip, if you want PUG players to comeback for future games, kick people with bad win rates from the lobby so that the PUG at least has

Towers become worthless about half way through. Why would you want to buy back a tower? Not to mention that if you have cash to buy a tower back, you are probably on the winning team anyway. A better suggestion would be to make the tower upgrades more worthwhile.

It should not be tedious when that information can be easily displayed in-game, or at least have a button in the UI that opens a browser to that person's Pantheon page. It's just a poor UI. My frustrating stems from playing MP games for the last two decades and seeing minimal improvemen
But even if the stat tracking weren't bugged, the stats wouldn't be that useful in terms of judging someone's skill.
Wrong. Sure, stats are meaningless within a certain band. For example, someone with a 65% win rate v. someone with a 60% win rate. That 5% can just be noise. But when I PUG against a premade, if my teammate has a 25% win rate, I leave before launch. Someone with a 25% win r

I can sympathize with the OP. Basically it comes down to doing your own detective work to know which games are premades and which are not. Four tips that I can give: Keep a list of hosts that host premade games. Play in windowed mode and spend time checking out the host at the Pantheon stats page to see who he has played is last 2-3 games with. Host your own games and put "New Players" or "No pre-mades" in the title. Play Pantheon games
