noob confused, botf veteran in Dark Avatar GalCiv2 Forums

Hi all, my first post, new to this game. Please help me, I'm very confused. I'm old school, I come from Star Trek: Birth of the Federation. I'm a god in that game. I'll take on anyone, any race, any starting level, I'll whoop yer a$$, I still play it :) I'm used to micro-managing.
