What do I have to say to all this AI business? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can easily see this game dying out in 2 weeks, and there being no reason to play, because you get stuck fighting against, or fighting with, AI. Terrible AI. Feeding the enemy, terrible AI. In DotA, it's tough to get a balanced game, cuz of leavers. In Demigod, I'd rather have the DotA system ,just because it's better to have no players at all, than 3 terrible AI that feed the whole time.

While we wait for some kind of arbitrary deadline that shouldn't have existed in the first place, for those that don't know, you can read the final two mythologies for the Sedna and Queen of Thorns heroins. They aren't linked from the main page yet, but you can see them by just typing them into the URL: Senda: http://www.demigodthegame.com/origins/sedna/ Queen of Thorns: <a href="http://www.demigodthegame.com/o

Just goes to show you. You should always release your game on a Friday... If GS had broken the street date on a Wednesday or Thursday, and pre-order people had to wait til Friday, nobody would care. But you make people wait for a weekend, and it's murder. People wanna play NOW. Add in the fact that there's no pre-loading, ala Steam, and people get more antsy. (But as I understand, you do have the option of downloading a day early? Still not quite as good as preloading.) So the

Not in the literal sense of course. What are your predictions? One of DotA's greatest strengths is that it is free. Free to develop, and free to play. Because it's not meant to make any real money, programmers make content for it on a voluntary basis. So it's getting relatively frequent updates and balances. But Demigod on the other hand, is meant to make money. Doesn't this mean there's no incentive to keep it updated? So after a month, its sales start to taper off.

Connection info window is a great idea. It would be even better if it were in like... a web shape. Like, a decahedron shape. Each point on the dechedron would be a person. A green line would be drawn between each person who has successfully connected. A red line would be drawn between the people who can't connect to eacch other.

Howdy. I'm not in the beta or anything, but I did get an email from Stardock saying that Demigod will be going on sale in a few weeks. I hadn't heard much about it lately, but I remembered hearing a while back that it was going to be like DotA, which sounds cool to me. So I clicked the link in the email, and it took me to the preorder page. It said the pre-order was $50 bucks!! This is only a multiplayer game, right? "$50 bucks is a lot." is what I thought. There's no way I'm paying $

I've read all the lore and so-forth for this game. But I haven't seen anything that really gives you a sense of how each race PLAYS. Is one stealthy? Does one favor direct combat? Does one favor diplomacy? What about ship prefernces, etc... Can someone type up a summary of what each race actually does in the game, rather than just their backstory?
