yeah, they just made it disappear online.. AI spamming siege frigs is why they do so ad. Even with unfair AI, they have no supply or resources to build things that would make a difference. -_-
Okay.. So they should of instead kicked you out when you accomplished building a capital ship? You can do that within the first few minutes of the game They have to put a limit somewhere, or else you could play on randomly generated medium maps all day long without actually buying the game. Like others have said the demo serves its purposes in seeing if the person will like the game enough to purchase it.
That was my point.. THe guy is asking to have a free game with
I added at the bottom about cap ships. The XP being split between cap ships makes teamates working together and getting more than 1 cap nerf them. This is silly, it's not like caps are super amazing and super cost effective.
We only have good replays from 1.02, which won't run with 1.03 patch. None of the better players have been playing seriously, or at all, in 1.03 due to balance issues.
Okay.. So they should of instead kicked you out when you accomplished building a capital ship?
People here are not getting it: IT'S NOT ABOUT FINISHING A MAP IN 90 MIN!!It's about the PERCEPTION that you can finish it. The goal of this demo: Create desire to buy this game. Most people, especially strategy gamers, will not start a (demo) game AT ALL if they know upfront that they will be kicked out at some arbitrary point, loosing all there build-up efforts without knowing upfront if they have the time to put them into play. So, if people will not start the demo in the firs
2. A better option would be the host being able to send custom maps to players that join the game over ICO. They already can?
Wow what?.. no they can't. Only Map Designer ones. Not Galaxy forge ones. Also same doesn't work for mods.
The logistics will be probably rebalanced 1.04 or after. But not the way u suggest probably. As far as super weapon is concerned, the Vasari one is neat. They don't need it to win however, it's most useful vs another Vasari. Also Vasari problems are not related to the super weapon at all. The fact that their super weapon works like it works does not mean they are underpowered as a whole. Subverters are very very powerful, so they don't need a super-super weapon, just one that serves
Oh man you're right. It's like an exact clone! I want my money back!
Replacing the SinsAgencyBold.tff won't work online, will it?
1. This would be quite nice, like homeworld. So long as it doesn't hurt performance.(would need a 4th texture, i imagine.) 2. A better option would be the host being able to send custom maps to players that join the game over ICO. :) 1.1 or 1.2 at the latest :( 3. It's fine how it is. For some reason you think you're SUPPOSEd to make 3 jumps an colonize a planet right away? Working as intended. 4. I don't play single player but this sounds like a good id
phase jump inhibitors.
you created 7 threads with just slightly different wording..
& remove you from the forums?..
Yeah you're right. What they should of done is taken out 75% of the tech tree and units instead of a time limitation. [/it's sad i have to add this [/SARCASM] tag, because some people actually won't get that that was sarcasm.]
Frogboy worked to improve the AI a bit for 1.03 IIRC.
I don't disagree that fighters/bombers aren't good enough. I disagree on what many of you think is the solution/
i dont' think a fixed start locations will come in 1.04..
That's exactly what turrets are for, buying you some time and anti-siege until your fleet arrives. Thanks for pointing that out. I wouldn't mind them getting +35% range -25% damage, though, so you can cover more area and stack them more, and them reach further out to the gravwell. But that's more a rebalance.
I think gaurdian repel still works against assailants, but not javs now. I'm not sure what the exact range on repel is, i probably should of checked the entity files. In the strikecraft thread a lot of people have very very silly suggestions regarding how to balance them imo.. 1:2 sell wont' be good enough unless the average buy price is real high. p2p network is what we have now is the issue.. You mean client-server networking?
I know it was the result of an ingame test, but if you had two good people playing in 1.02 and one made assailats and one made assailants, I can assure you the one making assailants will win. They DID win. And I don't think getting a credit drain early on is going to effect that. The first fleet cap is only taking like 2credits/second, and the 2nd might be 6, depending how early you do it, though with the higher supply they would be upgrading it early. But yeah, maybe t
Um.. Fighters do 20 DPS against light armor. Assailants do 13 dps against light armor. I'm not saying that fighters are good, i'm just saying that you're WRONG.
No, I understand these things just fine. Many people can attest to that. -_-
ahaha yeah.. A shader with a fresnel alpha please? The fresnel alpha would be 100% transparent near the center, and the same opaqueness on the edges. So you'd only see the effect on the edges of the bubble no matter how you turn the camera. Example on the middle and bottom. One part of the fresnel is the reflection, the other part just a diffuse. But instead imagine the reflection
One posible alternative would be to nerf capital ships planetary damage. so as to force the player to bring along siege frigs after the capital have cleared the space around the planet. But that would suck.I've played games where the AI would throw 56 siege frigs on my planet with no fleet on it. And that planet would almost be alpha-striked. But two things, first, with the TEC planet shield with its two upgrades researched, the planet would actually last long enough for my fleet to make
