Because slaughter is the most boring of all the game modes, even worse than dominate. It's a good thing slaughter isn't in pantheon.

Now try doing a 100 win streak in pantheon and we'll talk about something really impressive.
Dream on. Wait for 1.2 come out with full mod support. Then hopefully someone very very nice will make a better AI. I don't understand why isn't the AI's difficulty set to Hard or Insane when a player leaves. Isn't it obvious to everyone including GPG and SD that AI just CAN'T fight on par with humans (even noob ones)?
1.2 isn't coming until something like Septemberish, so it will be a bit of
i ask because I am seeing posts suggesting that there may have been some changes made, yet I saw no patch download for the game. Or am I just going crazy (a distinct possibility)?
No, it wasn't that, I'm certain of it. When groffling procs, it says "absorbed" in green for the damage (yes you can even see it over enemy Demigods). There was no indication of this and it has happened more than once against different players. Not if your hit deals more than the shield absorbs. Watch with a QoT shield. The hit that breaks the shield will show up as the difference in damage. Throw a 1050
For example; I bit (with bite at max level) a demigod once as he was running away and only did 423 damage yet got the full 775 health...
Funny thing about creeps is that when I RoI them, they all take different damage. In theory, I should see all 800s above them when RoI hits, right? But on the same cast, they all take 734, 729, 799, 776, etc. On the same cast! Demigods too, so it's not just a creeps/grunts issue. I know, it's so very odd. And I've NEVER seen something like Pounce do anything but its set damage though. Only Rain of Ice....[/quot
*AI upgrades (real ones this time, not the downgrades that happened the last two patches) *New maps/Demigods *Better Pantheon connectivity and matchmaking *All maps be enabled for Pantheon, not just 5 of them *Minion targetting fixes (example; Priests should not charge head first into towers when I told them to get their asses BEHIND me) *Masking of player names when starting Pantheon/Skirmish matches to prevent pre-made teams and reduce droppers <
Yep, I've seen my max bite skill with Erebus do 445dmg (should do 775), Torchbearer fireball at max level should do 1050, yet it hits for some weird number like 932 sometimes, sedna's pounce max 1000dmg, yet often hits for less. Wtf is going on here? I thought skills were guaranteed damage? EDIT: This is against other Demigods, I haven't payed attention to see if it does it against creeps, but I see no reason why it would be any different.
I don't really care overall at getting the least favor, as long as my team wins it doesn't really matter, BUT when I saw the favor distributed, I was perplexed. I lead in many categories, had no deaths, yet came out in back of the other two allies. How are favor points doled out then? Is it just completely random?
It is very annoying but I haven't seen this mentioned yet. When you end a match (clicking end game in the title menu) for whatever reason, (even in single player) the music and ambient sounds from that match continue to play...even at the the menu screen and into the next game. The only way to fix it is to close the game completely, then restart it.
Now I'm crashing. I wasn't before this patch and now suddenly the game has crashed twice tonight...in a row. Something is wrong here... This pissed me off to no end as both the matches I crashed in, I was winning...now they count as a god damn loss.
I only ever see the maps Cataracts, Crucible, Prison, and Zigurrat. What about the other maps?
Yeah the AI has definately gotten worse in this latest patch. They have never been easier to frag, I don't even have to think now to get an AI kill, all I do is point and click and they are sure to die.
Yeah, I'm not getting any crashes either.
I saw some new (retarded) behavior from the AI today (rook). Pantheon match (fortress), Erebus/UB vs Rook (ai)/ Oak. The match started as a typical match does. Sometime around the middle of the match, I attacked a fortress just to get a few hits in before I retreated to go heal and the rook was guarding it. I hit the fortress 1 time, then retreat and witness the rook use structural transfer ON HIS OWN FORTRESS! They didn't even have health regen for buildings! Fortress was near death at that
So this actually happened? LOL What did you guys try?
Tried to focus fire on the one with lowest HP, tried rushing, but were always pushed back because of the wall of towers. Twice the rooks, twice the towers. When they reached tower level 3 (12 towers zapping our asses) it was pointless to continue.
Why should two ub's beat two rooks in a map with one relatively narrow passage? Every demigod can't counter everything, so if you want to counter two rooks on crucible you pick regulus or torch.
It was a skirmish match, therefor random pairings. I had no way of knowning who my opponents (or allies) were going to be. Bad luck there.
I suppose if they just stood there, or it was a dominate match it might be possible, but this was a fortress and dual Rooks on crucible is murder. Actually, what would be funny is seeing 4 rooks, 2 on each side and both going tower build. [e digicons][/e]
Seriously, is it even possible? Assuming they aren't noobs and don't run into your base. All they have to do is build double the towers at the chokepoint, and it's over.
It's important to note that the connection issues are only fixed for custom matches. If you plan on playing Skirmish or Pantheon (tournament mode) they are far, far from fixed.
The assessments I read of Demigod in the reviews were fair...kind even (especially the PC Gamer one). They rate games at launch and they never go back to re-rating a game after it has been out. If the game has serious problems at launch (Demigod had that in spades, still has problems to this day) then it deserves to be called out for it, regardless of who is backing it. Let's face it, Demigod was a buggy mess at launch and still is (though it has gotten slightly better). If anything, Demigod
Need George Bush and Barack Obama as two new demigods, one has an airstrike and missile defense, the other has diplomacy and allows the single mother minions to level up for free.
[e digicons]:D[/e]
So did I get that right? Is this game seriously DELIBERATELY starting 2vs3 matches? Did I read it wrong? Because if so that is some seriously bad decision making for whoever came up with that bright idea. Explain to me how that is even a remotely fair match...
Quoting Frogboy, reply 5 As a practical matter, there is not a lot we can do to keep people who drop out of a game as soon as they discover what map or who they are playing with. I'm not sure that this is true. Right now, it is very easy to see who your teammate is before you launch into the game. So people game the system because it is easy to game the system. You can make it more difficult to game the
