yo, the 7950 GT chips are known to get "hot" under stress ! My 7950 GT was doing a good job on DG but also got tooooo hot, which didnt appear in other games. Meanwhile ive changed my GFX, but in ur case u cant. ...but what u can prolly do is cleaning ur cooler element of ur graphics card. Mine was dusty and after cleaning it i reduced temp. by over 10 degrees C. RivaTuner would help if u could "underclock" ur GPU.
