demigod bug reports please!

woppin - just my 2 cents. no more thread crapping from me here. I'm happy with innovations, but I don't have the slightest idea how to crack, etc, nor would I be inclined to do so. You clearly know quite a bit more about the topic, so I leave you to it. Cheers.
So the trick is not to buy into every new little thing. Price vs. gain. If you have something that is nearly close to the next best thing - don't buy into it. If you are 2-3 gen's behind and you want to play or use the latest that requires the best, then upgrade. $300 for a 'high-end' card is nothing. No high-end card can be had for a mere $300. And no high-end card can
Wait until mod support is released. Frankly, this game is hard enough to play w/o issues w/o trying to tack on a mod atm. And they said we've have mod support soon enough (before summer's over), so... just find something else to do with your time. I am very much looking forward to mod support, but won't personally use any mods until it is provided through the game w/o a hack. I hope you are still in the community when support arrives and making maps, though!
I can confirm at least in this regard - if the host drops due to a crash, there is no favor and the game is not recorded (happened to me tonight and I opened a bug report)... that's alot of power for a host to have. Easy way to have perfect stats... just do custom games and host? Then drop if you are losing? I'd hope that isn't the case, but it seems like it may be...
Quoting Bamji, reply 3 Say "good-bye" to Tower Farm complaints.
Wow... I really doubt that one... I haven't been in many games where the team always buys all the upgrades in quick succession. Frankly, the guys who were like "who the fug just bought priests", don't complain now, so that's a win in my book. If the changes quiet down those fellas, then I'm happy. I think it was
Also... my fav thing ever... guy announces to EVERYONE that he's AFK... wow. I mean, if you had to do it, maybe just tell your teammate... but still lousy. Oh... and sadly, I'd take an AFK over the AI anyday (at least with the current ai). I think its cool that he chose to stick and go AFK instead of dropping, but completely idiotic that he'd announce that to everyone playing.
Quoting Misfortune, reply 3 I mean, it's not like they can chat ingame...Err, you can chat ingame...
right... shift + tab, then click on chat... it logs you into another channel then.
Here's the PM I sent theUberSmurf along with his response. I also found that there is no record of this game in the stats browser. From: theUbersmurf It crashed, I know it can fuck up other people's connections. I didn't do it deliberately. Sorry that happened to you though. -------------------------------------------------- From : pacov Sent: 6/28/2009 8:00:58 PM hiya, Just finished playing a game with you. You were
Here's a copy of the email I sent to support. See attached logs for additional data. Issue - I was playing a 5v5 g
There's another crash thread going on over here http://forums.demigodthegame.com/357479 . And some additional info here http://forums.demigodthegame.com/357616 .
For those of you who have had crashes, what LANGUAGE is your Windows PC in? (English, German, etc.)? The pattern on the problems almost makes me think there's an issue with a string or something.
US Eng (impulse version) - at least in my experience, I had a few initial crashes, then a string of successful games... no change of any configs on my side. English OS
Perhaps that count includes double instances if a person is logged into chat as well (1 for chat and 1 for demigod - idk)? Oh well, the presented stats at least appear to accurately show current running games and open games... I don't think any of us doubt that number.
Good point, nOObCensored. None of my crashes have been related to loading nor do I make the same sweeping generalizations as the OP. If anyone is having increased crashes on 1.1 (crashes to desktop), please see over here. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/357636/#2281345 . Please take the time to start your own post and do the following if you want to help resolve 1.1 CTD issues. One guy was able to res
Interesting. I've played several successful games since, but I'll give a fresh install a shot if crashes come back with a vengeance. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Nope... remember, you don't have to log into demigog to play SP...
Well ok, there you have it then straight from the frog. Right this second there are 3,385 people globally that have demigod opened and are logged in. Impulse has nothing to do with the stat. Currently 10 open games and 78 in progress. Thanks for the clarification Frogboy!
Or do something else with their time.
Demigod is only a modded Company of heroes ... so it's more confusing how they could destroy a perhaps 90% perfect running game into this aftermath of bugs ...
Easily one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Request a refund PLEASE!
I ve found something : frogboy said in a former journal: "As I write this, there are 3,211 people currently either playing Demigod games online, waiting for games, or in lobbies. During peak hours, it’ll get to around double that." http://forums.demigodthegame.com/356743 so its clear, its a hoax ! because there are only 500-600 people playing DG games online, waiting for games, or in lobbys
Hmmm -&
On point - we think we should get responses because we have in the past from them. Also, consider this, if the devs were as silent as they have been and the pubs didn't speak up at all, ESPECIALLY with the issues that plagued demigod early on, is there much chance that any of the early adopters would be playing today?
We'll, favor currently being broken (eg rebuy the same item every match) actually resolves my concerns in the meantime... probably the first break/fix (if that's what it is) that's ever done that for me. I'm already up to 2k + favor so I can pretty much purchase anything I want until they fix that. Like I said, its not a big deal, but would it have killed them to give us some heads up regarding this? Pretty sure they decided in advance what they were going to do.
i doubt the numbers are made up, but its obviously counting some statistic that wouldn't logically follow. I'd hope there are more than 3200 people globablly that have impulse open right now, but there surely aren't 3200 lurking waiting to get in a demigod game...
HoL costs way too much now. I like that I'm having to change my build and rethink some strats, but the price is so much that I doubt I'll ever buy it again. I think 9k would be a better price, but think 8k would be the sweet spot.
