I've noticed when I play unlock to get all the equipment that there is a Battleship-D uses missile weapons unlike all the other battleships which are kinetic, and it appears to duplicate the Destroyer-D which is the large class that uses missiles.

If hexes were soooo good why don't we switch our coordinate system around the world to be hex based? It is completely plausible. Why don't we discuss are in terms of number of hexes that fit into an object instead of the number of squares for area? I still don't quite understand why Hexes are better than squares.

If you have ships adjacent to a planet you wish to colonize and you colonize the planet where the colony ship sits on top of another ship just before colonization. The other ship will disappear (but you are able to select them and see them again... but you have to know they are there.) The screens show how to reproduce. Set up ships in from of planets to coloniz

Circles have issues with tessellating the plane, so no they won't work. Triangle would work and would provide about the same things as hexagons. Do you know what the word "humor" means? Lol maybe I should've added some smiley faces.
Not sure I know what you mean here parrotmath. Do you mean you see no real difference in how military functions between now and GCII?
I do not see how giving the Drengin early weapons has any effect on whether one builds ships on planet versus at a shipyar

I'm not seeing an issue at the moment with the vulnerability of the star port. IT certainly is a target of opportunity and it certainly is designed to create ships. It does not need to be have defenses embedded on the station. The fact that you can place defensive ships on the station itself should be sufficient in defending the starport from any attack. In effect, this adds defensive bonuses as well as offensive bonuses. If we are concerned by the initial rush from the Drengin assualt ve
Why not try Octagons ? They are more visually appealing and to my way of thinking offer much improved "tile" movement although I've not tried to form an octagonal grid to see if it actually is build-able.
Regular Octagons will not tessellate the plan. Although you can form a semi-regular tessellation utilizing regular octagons and squares. I do wait for the day when we get a game that uses a

Oh and a square grid will translate quite nicely for 3d cubes while a hexagon cannot. The hexagonal grid for gameplay purposes is just a square grid laid in a brick formation. Where each layer is shifted by 1/2 block. It gives the same effect (although visually looks unappealing.) Hex or Square it matters not to me. I find neither to be more strategic than the other.

Yeah, I played Skyrim. Rather fun game. I know there are smaller swords that do more damage than larger ones, but the point is most people would prefer that the sword bigger = more damage. Visual matches the numbers. Whether the game designer does this is entirely up to them, but expectations are also needed to be met from game players and designers alike. Any solution to this problem will not eliminate the fact that Drengin will win in a small map. Shipyard in space or on planet it mat

I always look at the sovereign bonus to be more of an initial game boon and doesn't grow with the sovereign as that is the point of the level-up system. If you want it to grow with the sovereign, they really should produce another level up tab for the profession of the sovereign. But then there are just not enough levels given to a character to justify this tree as well.

I don't think it is possible to disable it for a single player. I would recommend that the faction you want to eliminate it for just eats fame for breakfast. Or has a penalty that prevents that faction from getting fame altogether. You would have to create a cost per turn for the faction that just removes fame accumulated by that faction. There are bonuses to fame given to questing by Altar, maybe you can reverse the effect on this faction. The other idea is to create a se
