I like the oscillate tool, as it allows me to build moving pipes up and down to look like an engine. It can be difficult as all animation stuff can be.
Well, I bought the map pack, and it turns out that I already have everything that was in the pack. I do not remember buying it before, but it appears that I have given Stardock a $5. gift, meaning they got the fiver, and I got nothing. Oh well. I can confirm that the maps do work in Fallen Enchantress.
There was an old bug that gave the map-pack for free to many people who did not purchase it. Apparently, you we
Don't forget to use your seta drive, speeds up space travel when you are doing menial travelling. As you get more ships to your fleet, you can set them to trade and travel while you go shooting pirates and starting wars. The early game is rather slow, but as you explore and upgrade your stuff it gets better. If you are looking for the most dog fighting capability and ship flying you want to put yourself in a fully upgraded M5. That will travel quick and get you to place to place,
The map pack for FE should be the same as LH. You should be able to use the maps with FE.
The X-universe, I think I've logged roughly 300+ hours in X2 and 300+ hours in X3... They are rather expansive and in the beginning it is a space sim and then the game shifts into a management sim afterward (although you can still fight around). X-Rebirth tried to keep the space flight sim throughout the game at the cost of management towards the end. Hence, the large rebuff from the fans of the X-series. (Also, can't forget that rebirth removed the aspect of piloting different ships

In any case, not a big issue, was just wondering.
I see it from time to time. But to help answer your question there may be 1300 people who played Oblivion intensely for awhile, then stopped removing everything from the computer (due to boredom or the computer exploded on them), thus when they get the Oblivion itch
PS. Yes a popup if a player leaves a design without saving is definitely needed, and will be in for Beta.
Nice. The other bit about the proportional scaling is mostly to scale proportionally from the users presets vs. the original object definitions preset. i.e. you drew an object that is twice as long as tall, then I modify this object that is half as long as tall. If I select proportional scaling, it would revert the objec
Can somebody explain how to post an image please? THNX
You need to put the image on another site something like imageshack or dropbox, copy the URL and use the insert image button. There put your URL to your picture in the spot where it says image URL.
Also, would like a pop-up when you press cancel on the ship editor... lost the ship I created above by accident ;)
Note: I would hope that when I move from the design tag from equip to design mode that the default screen is not the hulls, but the parts. Not looking to restart when I'm in the middle of putting in equipment.
So, I like all the little features provided in the ship designer. I spent about an hour working on making linear motion from rotational motion when I realized that you had a movement animation. So after I created a walking spaceship (moving legs and such, inspired me to possibly create a walking AT-AT) I like the symmetry, but I do not necessarily like the fact with symmetry comes any component placed on a symmetric object automatically gets duplicated. (Although, I don't think yo

You could try out the x-series (I know X / X2 / X3 will support joysticks and it is a space sim) Mouse and Keyboard are perfectly reasonable to use in these games. In fact, I think you cannot get away from the keyboards in these games.
Here is an alternate constructor... Big
Currently working on adding skeletal pedestrians. Need to update the 80+ tiles with the pedestrians I've made and will soon have an undead empire using skeletons instead of the fallen people. Unfortunately, I was unable to get Banshee's to work. But skeletons are a go. For people looking to see what I've been doing lately. I'll be going through my mods and updating them shortly with all the updates.
When you redo the hardpoints - will use users be able to add hardpoints to some of the pieces if we really want to have a piece on a hardpoint at this particular spot.
Casual gamers are not worthy? Why is it crazy to say people are paying for the priviledge of beta testing?
I would say they are worthy, but a casual gamer is not usually going to give feedback on any game. But the $100 does not preclude the casual gamers, but in general if you identify yourself with a casual gamer, then you are likely not going to talk / discuss the game unless asked. You will not feel strongly about whether the
Took me awhile to get this one running (and it does run) My next designs will probably be more serious.
I'm liking the editor... got some good functionality. I especially like the symmetry switch.
I suspect that the soonest this patch will be out is this Thursday. But that is if all goes well from now until then... They might push it to next week which qualifies as soon. But I wouldn't suspect that it would not be more than 2.5 weeks from now.

Sooo... if it is not running up you are going to give the first reply a graphics card :) I'm excited to see the ship-designer in action. Would like to know if you are shipping the worm thingie that was created with the ship edtior to only the founders ;)

Will you include your wormy ship as part of the patch... I think you should name it Kraken and when you release the patch tell us you released the Kraken ;) (You know you want to... everyone wants to say that one)
I do not necessarily support this idea. It is needlessly complicated and I only see game mechanics at its raw state. With 100 different races / species in the game it is plausible that the most populous race is 1% of the planet. Even if they do not support the 100 races, it removes the fact that my civilization does not label other species and treats all species equally. We don't even go as far as saying you are not my species. There is no need for the labels beyond cultural follower and
