I replaced some of my game's music with Total Annihilation and Dawn of War tracks. Other than that, I keep most of it as default. Schuegraf did some good work on Sins' music and I thoroughly enjoy it.

The problem is when the attack priority picks a flak frigate over a siege or LRM frigate just because the anti-fighter frigate is closer. This has happened to me throughout quite a few games. The auto-attack priority either needs some serious tweaking or user control, such as being able to sort a list for your ships before a battle has started.

[quote who="heavenlysynn" reply="8" id="2463871"]...easy...[/quote]And that is exactly what you were doing wrong. Beginner in Killing Floor is like playing against angry cats. At worst, you'll lose one guy because he got careless and tried to fight off fleshpounds with his knife. At best, no one will take any damage throughout the entire game . If I were to play Beginner with my level 6 Commando, I could probably kill the Patriach with a machete. On Normal and Hard, my

[quote who="Yarlen" reply="6" id="2464087"]I think these are great ideas. We'll see if we can get them into the game, but they may not make it (there's already more that we want to include than we really have time for). Depending on how much work it would take, perhaps we can do this via a patch post-release if we don't get them in sooner. [/quote] It's great to hear that you guys are interested in elevating the AI past basic functionality. I look forward to when we might he

To be honest, the TEC Neruda looks like a flying face with a giant set of teeth . It also has a strangely large amount of windows for a supposedly "mostly automated" vessel. Doesn't mean I don't like it, though. The Advent envoy does look pretty different from the rest of their ships, but it fits with their general theme. One thing that irks me, though, is that the little ball things ar

While I was on the boat trip back home, I had an interesting thought. Something popped into my head that, perhaps, different AI factions - Tondam Corporation, Psi Order Zealots, and so on - could have different personality traits. These would correspond with their names and portraits, giving some uniqueness to the singleplayer and cooperative experiences. Let's say, for instance, you start up a game and have the Nitheim Rebels, Slave Kar Majistra, and Voice of Senar as

Games that I actually bought (In no particular order): 1. Battlefield 2142. Tried as I might, I could find no way to make this blatantly imbalanced shooter appeal to me, even back when I was more accepting. The only time it gets now is when I play bot matches with my one friend that has it. It was simply the most frustrating experience I've ever had in a shooter. 2. Mass Effect. After getting over the new game excitement, I saw it for what it was; a repetitive

[quote who="Melchiz" reply="1" id="2459168"]I believe that it has to do with the speed of light in a vacuum. You see, you may be seeing the lasers hitting at a certain time, but they are in fact hitting well before then. [/quote] I sincerely doubt this is the reason. John Q. Average likely doesn't know a thing about this and certainly doesn't care. I believe it's more likely to keep processing requirements low on this end, what with the potential for extreme fleet si

No, it does not. It still has a decent amount of range and will kill anything smaller than a capital ship. It may even be able to take out some low-level capital ships, as well. If the starbase is in a small gravity well at the front lines, I expect that this ability is worth the cost, especially considering you get that 4,000/8,000 damage free of guilt if the starbase is going to die anyways.

HOLY FUCKING CAPSLOCK, CAPTAIN Options -> User Interface -> Turn off "Use Team Colors" If that's not what you're looking for, click on the colored icon next to your race (Not the team selection, the other one) and select a color at the top of the resulting window.

You can actually get ships to angle themselves in a certain direction without them moving by, first, ordering them to move in the direction you want them facing. Then you simply click the stop button. The ships will turn towards that destination, but not move. You won't be able to get a fleet to change its overall orientation (For instance, if battleships are at the front, turning the fleet around with this method will leave them at the rear), but it's useful nonetheless

[quote who="Jafo" reply="7" id="2431262"] You've connected the 6 pin PCIe power to the card?... [/quote]Actually...um...this was the problem. The PSU I'd installed hid the thing beneath a maze of cables. Insert self-slapping where applicable. So, for the most part, the problem's been solved. My computer's back in operation, albeit somewhat slower than usual. Thanks for all the help, people. If anything comes up, I'll be sure to update the thread again.

UPDATE The new PSU arrived and I've hooked it into my computer. So far, so good, the computer's started up and running like normal. However, a new problem's shown up; I can't really run any of my games. Something's up with my display device and my computer's reverted to using its default one. It doesn't seem to be detecting my video card or something and I'm not really sure

OP edited. Sorry for the fudged links, just too used to BB code. Those are indeed the specifications of the computer in question, Warreni. The only difference is the appearance of the case's sides. And, to Lantec, those are indeed the problems; absolutely nothing happens when I push the power button. Not a light, not a buzz, nothing. Thanks for the replies, all. It's good to know there's somewhere I can count on for help.

Very recently (Two days ago, in fact), the newer of my two computers died. I was playing the Left 4 Dead 2 demo with one of my friends and it shut itself off. Repeated presses of the power button did nothing. After figuring out that it wasn't a power outage, I kneeled down next to it to inspect it and smelled smoke comin

I'd like to see something similar in the form of a switch you could flip for repair bays/structures so that they'll repair civilian ships within their ability radius. This would help keep construction frigates from dying in combat and give trade ships that little extra bit of strength to last through dangerous trade routes. Perhaps have three settings for the function; A. Repair fleet and structures only, B. Repair constructors, fleet, and structures only (To keep your repair bays fro

One other thing to note is that if you kill the pirate base while there are still turrets floating around, the turrets will no longer attack. This is useful if you plan on taking the base as part of an artifact hunt/fortification strategy, as mop-up operations will require significantly less ships.
