map packs and non random maps take away possibly the greatest thing about sins, the need to innovate based on a totally unknown staring position. i really hope this phenomenon does not catch on.
Nightraid3r
do tell how you banned him from teamspeak...?
Hey guys, if you want, i'd be happy to help scare 2 people away for every 1 person you bring. Let me know if you need this kind of assistance and i can clear some time on my schedule to troll people on ICO!
the sova rush is only a big deal because more then the really good players use it now because its a pretty easy strat to use. on a side note more and more people know how to effectively stop it now. its all about knowing that its coming even if you can only tell from 1 pj away. quite recently jbaum "stopped" my sova rush fairly well and my sova escaped with >100 hp. It is very important to make sure fighters on the sova do not have free reign in picking off your uni
Late game isn't about capital ships, its about lag, and any seasoned mp vet knows that. whoever has the best rig to survive the imminent lag fest is destined to come out the victor, because they can just clearly micro infinitely better then the next guy with a worse computer. Case closed as far as I see it (coming from a guy with a mid ranged system). star p
well, caps are the command ships, only natural to make them fleet flags... Also, boosted caps and the fleet hole will mean that you cant just trow eco at peoples and turn the game in spamm fest. The skill which handles the fleet now matters more than how much money you trow at enemy.
i feel like what you are describing is taking sins and making it a different
Boost battleship caps, they are underpowered and dont scale properly. Lvl 10 battleship like Kol or they counterparts are lame at best. Sure, they can do trick or two, but they lack the fleet killing power. Radiance used to have it, you could sink enemy fleet with well placed radiance and malice, now all the fincess is gone. All that matters is raw power. Carriers are good
Hey guys! Star Player here from college. I hope to still play a few games now and then but I just want to give every one a fair warning that I am not at my normal skill level. I won't rate myself on a scale of 1-10 but whatever you think I was, i'm 2 less points on the scale now! Happy sinning! star player
I have played with Auqia 3 times, and I have seen him spam out either two haly's or two skinitras. I need to play with him more. I don't tend to watch what howthe's first capital ship is. Typical Starplayer turning this into a clan war and flamming thread. I rarely see other capital ships being built because Capital Carrier ships are too powerful early game. I can say with certatinty that 80% of pla
All the theatrics and poor spelling aside found in the thread, i believe that the point being made here is for one, incorrect, and two, exaggerated. You really think the only thing people use are carrier caps? Let me point out a few examples of some of the better players on ICO and their tendencies. 1. Auqia as TEC: Does he start with a sova? No, he starts with an akkan, and hes going to beat you with it even if you make carrier caps. 2. Howthe? as Vasa
Before i get blamed, although word on the street is I already was blamed for the second kbroke, It wasn't me. Probably nathan. star p
as soon as you get into the game lobby, type "power overwhelming". This makes you invincible. That should be a big boost. "operation cwal" removes fog of war and "there is no cow level" automatically defeats your enemy. enjoy!
i'll put some new replays up this weekend guys
well just out of curiousity, the zip that i downloaded has a starcraft 2 galaxy foldeR???
advent has almost no ability to beat starbases?
Thinking about buying the Trinity pack... just wondering how active is the multiplayer? Is it easy to find players in the lobby or not?
its active enough but be warned the players are very good and some have been playing since launch, if you're serious about playing MP, you're gonna need to get your ass beat a few times so you can get up to speed on how the game plays out on MP. if you do buy the game the
I understand that, it's just that I don't really have the time, nor do many other players have the time to watch an hour or multiple hours of gametime.
on speed 4 the replay shouldn't take you much more time then 30-45 minutes. Speed 6 usually works until the lag picks up as well
A classic example of why Sins is best played as 2s and 3s on set maps rather than as 4s and 5s on random 5s maps. A best-of-three with Aquia and Higgy versus HowThe and StarPlayer would make a great set of replays. With a set map or a custom there would be no danger of a player being roided, or of the severe imbalances that a random 2s map can produce. And it wouldn't lag. Sins was much livelier and more fun
who knows maybe i'll stay active and update this. anyways here is a 4v4 i played DATE: 6/29/2011 team1: [DT]Star Player, [DT]Howthe?, Dwish, kbroke team2: Auqia, [_]-HIGGY, DaKnife, ManiacGonzo heres the link: http://www.gamefront.com/files/20497339/AutoRecord-062
i'll pay for a platinum pass... as for that secret site? *stares at Sinperium*...
don't worry dead rat and elrosh if i play a few more games with you guys i will be happy to write reviews of you star p
Dwish: Always happens to be on the other team as Star. Always happens to be next to Star... Always gets crushed by star. Even though he is often a nice punching bag for star's fleet, there is no questioning that his stock is on the rise as a player in the sins community. He has been hanging around in the DT teamspeak for some time now and despite being yelled at, scolded, and or beaten down on multiple occasions he seems to be improving from game to game and
[_]-HIGGY: The best of the BIA clan and a sound strategist. He feels most comfortable as Vasari or TEC but has rarely, if ever, played Advent. He likes to send his enemy on the defensive, and once they start building defenses, he falls back and starts to make an economy. He is better than most late game, so the best chance you have to beat him is to wipe him out early and not let him become a space virus or firmly entrenched.
Quoting Nightraid3r, reply 3Yarlen, can you add a feature that allows you to modfiy a current name and add a clan tag too it? like this could be an option under player set up tag. This way you would still log in on the default name, example Joe123. Then you click the tab and enter a clan tag like [creative]Joe123. If you wanted to ignore or whisper this player, you would simply whisper Joe123. <br
