I have the latest versio if TOA. One thing I guess I have never messed with was upgrading. I tried upgrade on one of my ship designs (leaving items already there option). I could add a new laser, etc. Saved it and then I got a strange screen I had never seen before. Unfortunately it is gone or I would describe it.
